Gex and Gex 64 was dope…. Idk what you’re on about. Of course I couldn’t beat it and it was glitchy but I can see the nostalgia for sure 👍

I liked Gex on PS1 when I was 7 and never really saw issues with it. My baby brain just liked flying kicking the intinitely respawning red ninja at the end of one of the China levels, flying the giant firecracker, dynamic music that played in different parts of the world, and pretending I was in Star Wars. It was certainly not that good, objectively, but it had a lot of creative ideas, however half-assed in lieu of however many non-sequitur Hollywood quotes they could cram in.

Unless Solo Wing Fury played Chrono Trigger for the first time recently AND AFTER playing I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphere he possibly can't have anyone new to say. He's not the funniest or most analytical retro gaming KZbinr so he's wasting his time honestly.

WTF, the Gex games are nice, I never got into them until a few years back. Also why are you playing the unpolished N64 port? The PS1 version doesn't feel unfinished like this one. Excellent early 3D platforming oozing with personality and cool aestethics. If you don't like Gex, then you don't like retro 3D platforming.

For me i like the humor in the game i've seen so far. Also are there any difference between the n64 and ps1 version besides the missing intro and that he talks in the ps version much more? Also Conker made refferences to Movies in his game too. But from what i have seen: Secretly u had fun to make this review ;) And if u would one again for the sequel, i'd watch it too :)

Original gex 64 cart still cost more then some of the best games on the system like lylat wars

Like everything you said about plot, story, and character could easily be said about Mario. It’s a late ‘90s mascot platformer, not an RPG. Also, unlike Sonic ‘06, this game knows it’s weird to set the main character up with a human. It’s played as a joke. She’s a parody of the “Bond girl.” Finally, the humor and the puns in this review are considerably more annoying than those of the Gex series. Maybe that’s supposed to be a meta referential “bad on purpose” type of thing, but you can’t rag on the game for not being funny when your script is what it is.
