The level design and aestethic really remind me of the original Rayman.

Man you make a lot of amazing videos but don't get any views at all. If I was in your situation and I'm not even a youtuber I would have made another channel and make more compelling thumbnails and titles and you will grow fast this channel is dead replace it. Wth I always get mad when I see channels drowning like this man

So is this mix of Jet Force Gemini vs. Banjo Kazooie (because of the collectibles) vs. Beyond good & evil (because of the photographs u have to collect)? I think this game would really fit to the N64 in someway :)

To be fair to the game, on 3DS it did take longer to get used to the movement and camera so a longer starting area wasn't so bad. It looks nicer on the smaller display and the 3D effect did add to it a little. I did the whole tower part and missed the door at the beginning, so until I beat all 20 floors I assumed that was going to be the whole game. I thought I was playing some modest tiny indie budget game since that's what 3DS eshop games from indie devs always were. It's a lot more impactful leaving that bottom door to find that it was just the starting area and there was a whole 3D world to explore, it was very much a surprise for me and puts the game above most non AAA 3DS games, still not perfect as you say.

Yeah Level 3 is a bitch. Multiple minibosses and one which requires completely luck to hit let alone kill because of their speed and then your kindly given the platforming beat em'up version of getting over it. And yes the actual getting over it is much more enjoyable.

One of my favorite games i ever played i would take down truckers licenses plate and put them in it would really give me inspiration.

I just beat this game, I've been wanting to play it for some years now, and today I finally beat it. It's really fun, and its design makes the (almost mandatory) grinding for weapon upgrades very entertaining. The game only having 5 bosses to fight but still managing to make 15 different levels/variations from their scenarios is quite impressive. I would even say I enjoyed more this concept than the alternative offered by the Metroidvania fad of offering a huge map with interconnected areas. I know it's basically the same, but by not worrying about the paths having to visually "make sense" in a gigantic map, the developing team could offer more. Overall, it's a really good game, and a bit of a shame that it got stuck in Japan and in the 8 bit era.

Im suprised by all the negative comments. As a solo game I'm sure it sucks %$#@ thru a straw at times.

I really like this Game too but the only Issue I have with the Game is that it is a Roque Lite. I don't understand why so many Games have to be nowadays a Roque Lite or get a Roque Lite Mode. Somehow i don't get into this Genre :/

Had a random memory of this game and found out it's a rare obscure game. I was probably one of the few kids buying any kind of RPG game in hopes of finding a new game similar to the Legend of Zelda series. I played for quest 64 and this a lot. I beat Q64 but not this one. I didn't spend enough time min-maxing my characters. And getting your 1st 3 party members takes a bit of trial and error. Even though magic is supposed to be great. The fact casting spells took HP made the spells so weird to use.

I always found it weird that a bunch of PS1 visual novels ended up on NA and EU PSN, Who knows what the what the criteria was for imports lol.

randomly stumbled across this in around 2015 on the PS Classics thing on PS3 and it quickly became one of my favourites of all time despite the jank (which I've come to love lol) With more work it's my ideal car game concept, i love the CARPG thing, I'd kill to see a blend of Choro Q HG and Racing Lagoon someday

The gameplay on this one was boring but the subject matter it tackles is pretty deep it shows you how Society does not develop a progress when there's no diversity after a thousand years of Gone by with just the same people's Generations propagating lots of incest and no innovation

I never thought my characters would starve in the future. I understood it as a limitation of the time. Many RPGs with Square involved had 50%/1 HP special attacks from enemies (i.e., cheap shots). It's not new here nor specific to this game. Even the most unique games use tropes from other RPGs. It's unavoidable and shouldn't be held against any particular game. My only real complaint was the battle speed. With all the forced scripted battles, it would have been nice to have an option to speed things up a bit.
