We held my brothers funeral 3 years ago today. Solstice hasn’t had the same meaning for me since, I am grateful for longer days and being able to spend more time with my kids outside away from technology

Solstice is not usually a big thing where I am. Because it's winter I usually heave a sigh of relief that my days will start to get longer again 😂❤

Hi Beth! Good news, Juneteenth is a federal holiday! The bill to make it one was signed by President Biden in 2019 and became one of the 19 federally recognized holidays along with others like Memorial Day, New Year’s Day, etc. 😊

@@hjkilgore10 I know! I found out only when Juneteenth happened, and then I discovered individual private companies technically don't have to recognize federal holidays either -- most of them just do.
