I suspect that powerful interests within the Pakistani establishment have blessed such talk about a potential peace deal with India. I am sure that it is circumstantial. Pakistani economy can benefit tremendously if cross-border trade resumes. They can save billions annually. That is why we see many similar talk shows online where some participants openly praise India and urge the normalization of Indo-Pak relations. To reiterate, all this must have a green signal. At least from some quarters of the Pakistani Army. Whatever happens, as an Indian from Kashmir, I am relieved that we have serious strategic thinkers at the helm in Delhi. :)

Being a kashmiri i can only say that kashmir had never been an issue at all if we had good leaders before. Pakistan itself is responsible for what thier terrorist organisations did to us. If pakistan was actually a democratic country ruled truely by an elected leader no doubt we would have peace with Pakistan long ago but as long as thier is hidden dictatorship of army and these militant organisations in Pakistan it seems impossible. The best solution to kashmir is both India and Pakistan having peace with each other and kashmiris allowed free to travel every part of kashmir and both countries reducing their soldiers counts stationed in kashmir. Rest i am happy to be an Indian. I wish we sense same brotherhood with our kashmiri pandits as it used to be before this mess.

I just want to tell that Pak shooted Mig21 of Abhinandan which was 50 years old made by USSR and is called UDTA TABUT and even destroyed Pak's J16 or JF17 something like that i don't remember. Proof - To cover up Pak's military cut off electricity supply on base after 2 days and declared that their JF17 crashed. Then u Pakistanis say that was brave hats off to ur limited knowledge

This person is knowledgeable in terms of Indo-Pak relations. However there are two major problems in resolution of Kashmir: # 1. Roots of terrorist attack in India whenever major talks happen are probably linked to UK or US government. It simply doesn't seem possible that Pak army is doing everything on their own. US capitalists probably have vested interests in keeping the relationship tense because I think it is more profitable for them that way. "Keep Pakistan exploited and poor but armed, and use that to threaten India in order to exploit India as well" - seems to be their policy. # 2. Pakistani politicians and army have far lesser continuity in policy when administration changes in Pakistan. Most prefer to flee abroad in times of crisis. This creates lack of seriousness in Pak policy and Indian officials often get irritated. (Indian politicians are no saints but still there is more stake in the country compared to Pak politicians.)
