Solution to the problem of Premiere Pro not importing audio of AVCHD video filess on windows 7

In this video I describe a solution I came across for how to get Adobe Premiere Pro to recognise and import the audio of AVCHD video files such as the .mts files I get off my panasonic camera.

PERFECT! A solutions that's not a _workaround_ ! I'm on Windows 10, with CS6 and this actually solved the problem.

Awesome, yes I hate workarounds. It is beyond me why Adobe can't solve their own problems, but there you go.

Used this to import AVCHD videos from a Panasonic AC160 running CS6/Windows 7 and it solved the issue, however it’s created another. Premiere is no longer able to handle MXF files from an hvx200/hpx170. Those clips now play in slow motion, with the audio at regular speed but out of sync

windows 10 solution workt, but stil dont understand how, i have filmt 2 days, first day everythink is ok, second no audio :D. same camera same setings,

Yes! That is frustrating when things work only inconsistently! Supposedly Windows the new Premiere Pro CC (from 2018 onwards), uses the Audio drivers from windows 10 which is why if you are using windows 10 the audio should work fine. Windows 7 relied on Premiere Pro having the drivers, which they stopped including, so you just have to find a codec that supports your audio your self, which is a nuisance since Premiere pro used to work fine.
