[Solve] Media Creation Tool Error 0x80072F8F-0x20000 and Upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10

Happily, I didn't have to use the "directly download the .iso image". The Media Creation Tool worked just fine for me! Like I said, one reason it worked was that I had already addressed the TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 issue a few years back, when I did this to solve a problem in which No Man's Sky's Online Discovery Services couldn't connect to the remote server.

I have tried the media creation tool got the error code. So I ran your fix for that. Still doesn't work. Tried the 7z method I couldn't get that to work either. I did both method several times to make sure I didn't miss any steps. I honestly think it's my computer that is messed. I've check to see if there were any viruses or mallwere on my computer it says it's clean. But I really think it's this computer. I do want to thank you for the info that you provide, it's easy to follow and your knowledge is incredible.

This was one of the greatest, in depth, easy to understand, well made videos I've ever seen. You should be given an award or something for this. I haven't done any of the steps yet, and I'm on windows 7 but I know it will work now. Almost it works ,but in installation process completion of 30 % it shows"The system registry contains invalid file paths. Installation cannot proceed. This system image was applied without guaranteeing that drive letter assignments would match across computers." Now what can I do 😢

Nope. I have tried them all. Still does not work. Last method with .bat-file gives errors: "pnpclean.dll module" can not be found, Lots of subsequent Error 87 "Alternative cleanup-image is unknown. Script terminates and closes without any message after ~45 seconds.

I tried your previous video and now i'm on this one, cause I'm still getting that same error. I'm at the part where I had to make the .bat file, unfortunatly when I tried to run it I got a new run.DLL fault msgs. It said "There is a fault during starting pnpclean.dll. Can not find the given module. I could only click "ok" in that window and then it just did want I guess it needed to do. But after restarting still the original fault... :(

@@numero1360 I finally made it work. There is another video of Tech White that had troubleshooting for this problem it had like 9 different steps to try if you still got the same error. Anyway with the last one it finally worked, I can't find the video but I made it work by installing the "windows.iso" file. Hope this helps!!
