You might not use the quad formula to directly solve a problem, but it’s part of a much bigger formula that’s used to solve something. And you can’t do higher level stuff without knowing the lower stuff too

The Quadratic formula should be written as -b/2a + or - the square root of (bsq. -4ac) divided by 2a since -b/2a gives the position of the Axis of Symmetry of the parabola (also the x co-ord. of the vertex). the second part of the formula gives the deviations from this point
