I like PreMath a lot! Thanks. You can also stay in fractions and get 28/5, 17/5, 27/5 and 1/25 and not need a calculator.

Very long approach. Since c = 135d and b = 85d just substitute into a+b = 9 and a+c = 11. a+ 85d= 9 and a+ 135d = 11. Thus 50d = 2 and d = 0.04.

Yes, your method is more straightforward. PreMath does the same problem, but with different sums and dividends, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2HRmJaJmpJ-nrM In the comments, Sundararajan Ramachandran posts a variation on your method and PreMath acknowledges the comment.

If it was me, so i will write b=85d, c= 135 d. Then mix with 2 equation ạ+ b= 9 and a+ c= 11 then a+ 85 d= blah blah, a+ 135 d= blah blah. It is a lot easier with me
