I have a 2011 Audi A4 B8 2.0L 170bhp Quattro TDi with AC not blowing cold air. Bought a replacement low pressure sensor from Audi spare parts after fault code of 00256, fitted it but still not working!!! Any Ideas on this (oh and I had it regassed before the problem and was working fine and blew ice cold) ???

Hi, have a 12 audi a6 new original dealer switch, still no ac, good static pressure, no codes any ideas?

Usually no codes means the compressor is faulty. It is just a mechanical pump with no sensors on it, so the car can't see if its faulty or not, so you don't get a code

Hello, I had the hot air A/C, got the 0256 code, bought an aftermarket sensor from NAPA which did not work and then I went to Audi and bought the OEM sensor and that didn’t work either. Now I’m out 2x sensor price and it’s still throwing 0256 and still no A/C. Now what?

Hmm. I got 00256 and bought a £30 switch which I've just fitted. Error code keeps coming back and still no air con. No other codes. When i took them old one off, gas wouldn't stop coming out so i had to be quick getting there new one on. Reluctant to spend £80 on an OEM one in case that's not the issue?

It most likely will be the issue. Also, only a small bit of gas should escape. Once its wound fully off the valve is shut and wont leak

​@@vorsprungok thanks but my valve continued to leak. I did read it should shut off so I was surprised lol. Mine is a 2005/2006 A6 Quattro

I bought a sensor that several websites claim should work. Get a fault code about the sensor when i went to a workshop. How should you actually know which part will work?
