Had the sensor replaced but the valve below it seemed to fail letting gas out. Is it difficult to repair this valve ..

My Audi A4 2017 AC ON and AC ECON buttons are greyed out, only gives me option for AC OFF button when engine is start. I’ve used OBD2 scanner but found no fault code. Do you think the sensor can be faulty despite no fault code? Or the AC just needs a regas ? Please advise, thanks

Just did this on my 2012 Q5- thanks!! But now my car won’t chirp when I lock it with fob. I checked hood latch and truck, all doors. Checked settings for acknowledge tone. Still not working. Any theories? It was working before I changed it 😞

Was the cooling fan work before you changed the sensor? I got audi a6 c7 and cooling fans dont work. I cheked fuses and cant get any error codes whit obd11 code reader

i was about to this is on my A5 also gettting the same error code, but ended up letting my mechanic change it since my car was there anyway, he tried with 2 new sensors but the code is still static no cold air what can be other causes? i might check the fuse but other than that..

Thanks my friend. I do all you said in the video, but when I remove the sensor start to leak for two minutes. I don't know if I do something wrong or it is normal. Maybe you can help explain that. Thanks a lot

Did it leak out a lot or did it come out a little. It is possible you had failure to your valve seal that sits below that sensor

I noticed my radiator fan was running 100% of the time recently even though it's wintertime here. I have a 00256 fault code also. A quick google search suggests the AC pressure switch could be the issue. QUESTION - was the radiator fan running 100% of the time on the SUV featured in this video? (My vehicle - 2011 A6C6 2.0 tdi 134BHP)

Hey Kevin! On this vehicle the AC was not kicking on at all, I do not recall if the fans were running on high. But I do not think that they were. The issue we had here was the AC thought there was no Freon in the system so it never turned on. Please update us after you have figured out your vehicles issue!

I'm showing this code but my clutch on the AC is not engaging. Will this code keep fan clutch from engaging?

Hey John, Yes if you have this code, your AC compressor will not engage, If the AC clutch is not engaging it is possible that the car is not using the additional cooling fan. IF it gets very hot It should come on! I hope this helps, Happy Motoring-Blair

@@Revitauto Thank you Blair. You are correct regarding. Found out it was a wiring issue. Meaning I set the connector on as I was positioning front bumper and lights, (but did not click into position). It later fell off and no AC. Easy fix . :)

Hello Kofi, we ordered the sensor from the dealership and it came with the new sensor and the o-ring. I do not have a separate one unfortunately.

You do not! There is a valve that keeps the freon from leaking out, a very tiny amount might leak out while removing just like you would hear a tiny bit leak out of a car tire after you fill it and remove the pressured air from the valve stem. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE NEW SENSOR :D! Thats all I got for you buddy! Good Luck! And Happy Motoring

@@Revitauto thanks for the strong advice! It should get here Thursday, this will prove helpful. Also it won’t have a new O ring, if the one in is in good condition it shouldn’t be problem after I clean it right? And I think you should know, my AC is blowing cold. An odd issue that I have is the outer (left and right vents) always blow slightly either less cold or less heated air IYKWIM. Like say I set the temp to low, the middle vents blow cold for sure, but the outer ones do still blow cold but not as cold as the middle ones, and vice versa. So I’m thinking maybe this is a sign of it about to go out? Plus the code on VCDS; 1 Fault Found: 00256 - A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395) 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100010 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 243 Time Indication: 0 Date: 2021.04.22 Time: 20:00:02 Freeze Frame: Temperature: 27.0°C Temperature: 100.0°C Load: 0.0 % Absolute Pres.: 1.2 bar RPM: 680 /min Speed: 0.0 km/h Current: 0.000 A Temperature: 19.0°C I’m not sure if 1.2 bar is normal for when the motor is off.
