Lines on the right side showed up after phone hit the floor. I did all you said...three times. Almost dropped dead for heart attack trying to put back little bracket on the touch button ribbon connector (iPhone SE have one). Lines were still there. Rebooted, turned off, put apart, cleaned again and magic happened... For less than 15 pounds I bought new digitizer. The day it came my SE was repaired in less than 10 minutes. I trained a lot ;p Don't drop your phones ;) If you do NEVER use force to take it apart. Take your time. It will save you money. Later your knowledge might profit. Helping others can be a full time job. Most comments are from people in need and they will pay for help. Easy Steps, thanks for the video. Hello My iphone5 screen is working but at one place in the horizontal line the touch is not working. For that particular line (the horizontal line in cross to the negative (-) volume button) touch is not working doesn't matter either its setting or any other app. Please suggest me that the same way which you have shown in video it will work for my iphone5. Thanks for the video. The only thing about it is the way youre taking the cables off is kinda risky. You never want to remove any flex cables with metal or steel screwdrivers, it is possible there can be a shortage and you can damage really small diodes so i would recommend using a plastic spudger. And screw organization is always a must. The screws underneath the metal plate for the screen have a specific order. The top right screw is not magnetic because the magnet screw can burn out your lcd and make it go blue. These are tips i got from my technician training.

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 5c (The vertical lines and unresponsive screen). I followed all steps and the screen is the exact same. I have tried cleaning cable #3 multiple times and nothing changed. All pins and solder joints are fine. The screen doesn't get any worse, but it doesn't get better. Any other suggestions?

That happened to me. What I did to fix it is I bought the screen and LCD for that phone and replaced that. It costs about $20 and it worked permanently. If you don't know how to do it there are a lot of videos online about it.

I do think that that clip is the issue though so I was thinking about putting a piece of duct tape(i have no electrical tape) on top of the faulty clip so that when i screw down the plate it pushes down on the clip and holds it in place. do you think thatd work?

Actually the edge of the screens have a very sensitive ic controller which cracks when dropped or battery hot expansion.......not fixable according to techs at phone shop.......replaced 2 screens in last 2 months and am going android. Tired of Apple overpriced un expandable Chinese $100 to make junk.
