New RS out of the box. Changed settings. U disk mode set. i can shoot and store locally. Footage appears in phone app. But when i try to connect to studio on Win 10 using the USB C cable to import vid files i get message akin to 'D:' not recognised, need to format D drive!!! Any ideas??

For some reason every time I do this with the rs it keeps not reading the sd card and I keep having to delete my files and it reads it again but everytime I connect the camera it doesn’t detect the sd card

Thankyou that was so dam easy straight to the point . Subscribed and owe you are beer or 3 . I did it on the X2 360 it was slightly different it had to be set to Desktop mode.

Ok i just got the One RS and had the same problem (only I have a windows PC). I fixed it by updating the Firmware to it's newest version. You'll need a micro USB card & a separate card reader. Download the firmware off the website. Drop it into the micro usb card with a card reader device (don't stick it in a folder it should be out in the open on its own). Plug the Micro back into the camera and turn it on. Let it do the update (it'll chime when done) and then try to plug in into your PC again.

Thank you for the video. I have the opposite issue. I see USB Mode Desktop but not iOS on my Insta360 One X2. Android is available, but not iOS. I have not bought it from Apple :-(

This didn't work for me, however I did solve my problem after some experimentation: - I was already switching to U-Disk Mode without success. - But I noticed when unplugging the Insta360 ONE R from the Mac I got a disk improperly ejected msg on the Mac. - Using Mac Disk Utility I saw the camera mounted as an External Device but with no Name; and to confirm this was not visible in Finder - microSD card had previously been formatted directly (outside the camera) on a Mac Mini (running 10.15.7) using SD Card Formatter to change the Name to something other than Untitled 1; in my case Insta360 1 - Ran [Disk Utility] First Aid, all ok - Ran [Disk Utility] Erase, changing the default Name from Untitled to Insta360 1 - Bingo! The camera magically appeared in Finder! - Ejected the camera, took some photos, plugged back into the Mac and confirmed files could be copied from the camera to Mac So in a round-about way your video did help me! Thank you :-) [macOS Big Sur 11.3.1, MacBook Pro Retina 13" Late 2013 (with replaced I/O board but that's another story...)
