why can't my Professor do half of how you explain these problems, Thank you so much, calculus is not that difficult if you meet a right professor who actually knows how to teach like Patrick.

I agree! Thank you, sir, for making these free tutorials.

I love how you obviously understand how to do every step and yet you break it down piece by piece, why can't every Calc teacher be like that?! AND you know what trips people up with just basic concepts and you cover it everytime just to jam it into memory! haha

I thought you couldn't separate variables if the terms were not products? For example, you couldn't have y + y' = x but you could have y' * y^-1 = x, where all terms are divided. Is this because y' -> dy / dx and so dx is brought to the other side? I hope this makes sense!

How do you decide where to put the +C? If you put it on the y side then the C would have been negative instead.
@patrickjmt8 жыл бұрын
it is an arbitrary constant, it does not matter what the sign is (+ or - )
@annoyingbaby50718 жыл бұрын
patrickJMT thanks, but again if the C was put on the other side of the equation, the answer still would have came out different. Having trouble grasping this, so I get the wrong C half of the time in class :(
