We need to allow owner builders to develop and sell houses on their own land again without the restriction currently in place. Let them subdivide and build for profit, this would inject a healthy amount of housing into the system because the developers and licensed contractors can't meet the demand.

How about limiting the amount of 500 sq ft shoeboxes in the sky? This is a provincial duty, not a national one, but which genius thought we need more 1 bedroom units and not units for 2 or more people.... You know ... 2 or more people... In other words: FAMILIES!! I think it was the builders who wanted this shoved down people's throats so they can get maximum returns for little investments... And I shutter to see the day when these 500 sq ft condos need $1,500 of maintenance fees (per month! For you mathletes, that's $3 a square foot a month!)
