Since Night Dive has already been working with Bethsoft for the Quake and Doom Remasters, I would LOVE for them to remaster the Terminator games. I've heard Gman mention it from time to time, so the other day I watched a longplay of the first hour or so on KZbin and I was blown away by how modern it seemed. The Sniper rifle even has a real time screen showing the zoomed in nightvision scope. On a sprite. It has an open world, vehicles, 3D enemies, dimensional terrain. It seems 5 years ahead of its time, and it seems like reviewers and gamers alike at the time didn't know what to do with it.

My mom bought me a used 3D0 with a pack of games. Killing Floor is one of the games my mom enjoyed and we played it and beat it when I was just a kid. Looking back on it as an adult now it makes me think of a lovecraft/army of darkness shooter and it still has that charm and nostalgia. Thanks for covering it, I will be picking it up at some point!

Just finished the game after years an years of starting but never getting in to it. The updated controls and upgraded video sequences on the PC have really made it a night and day difference.. fantastic game. I miss how innovative and experimental the genre used to be and this game is a real testament to that era.

Talk about a throwback for me. I saw the thumbnail for this video, and it instantly triggered a forgotten memory of playing this on my grandmas Sony vaio desktop back in 96 or 97.

I'm one of the 12 people who played this back in the 90's on PC. I was stuck in a small town at my grandmas for the summer, and it was in some bargain bin at walmart or something. I remember it barely played on her computer. Ive forgotten most of it, but I recognize a lot of the characters.

I was a huge fan of the 3DO version so I lost it when this was announced. I finished the game yesterday and had an absolute blast. Pure nostalgia, especially with the music. There’s nothing that matches the feel of this game, I love it.

30 years ago I played this game on my dad's Mac computer and got absolutely wrecked by the last 1/4 of the game. Hope I've gotten gud in the meantime. Either way, this is some beautiful remastering work. That silky smooth frame rate.... chef's kiss

I've been soooo hyped for this game, having grown up on the 3DO version. I loved how it mixed FPS with FMV.

For an increased challenge, play the hardest difficulty. In this mode, the final boss spawns immediately and constantly follows and attacks you through the entire game. He can’t be killed by normal means, so he’ll be all over you the entire time.

I think Rebecca Heineman; (who was responsible for the 3DO port of Doom) was the lead programmer for the Windows PC port. I'm pretty sure Rebecca talked about it in a youtube video; that the devs needed someone who had experience with video codecs.

What an incredible remaster it is. Thats how you rescue a game in risk of becoming the lost media.

This and PO'd are not my thing, but i bought them anyway to support the developers. I've like most everything else they've done so far and want them to keep doing this for more and more old titles.

Finding hidden rooms in this game is very cool as well. At least when I was a kid it was because it’s not like you were able to just look up this kind of stuff online. There’s a hidden room in the beginning with your first encounter with the gangsters, a room in the building where there’s a second revolver. I always remember that.

I want Nightdive to do a Kingpin life of crime remaster because that piece of shit they call a remaster that they just released was not worthy whatsoever. Nightdive would give it the love it deserves.

Besides the System Shock 1 remaster they did this is the one i'm most looking forward to. Killing Time is borderline unplayable on modern systems. Also the digitized actors as a way to explain the background plot is bar none one of the most unique things i've seen in any shooter. You could almost consider them as kind of a precursor to audio logs in videogames

The game was originally designed by Studio 3DO for the 3DO console, and the 3DO had that built in ability to stream video clips to various layers and polygon surfaces using its' animation co-processor. A feature that made the 3DO really stand out for the time. One of the more unique features for this game was seeing FMV sequences being displayed in the game engine. It really does date the game from 1994. But the 3DO version always had middling reviews, but still an interesting specimen of a game. I guess the PC version went through a lot of redesign.

And they have FMV cutscenes, too, which means one thing. Filming. And with filmed cutscenes like those, it also means that there probably deleted scenes, bloopers and outtakes.
