I love watching your videos. I did my maths GCSE 7yrs ago as a 43yr old adult. I passed thank goodness on my first attempt. However, 7yrs later I find I’ve forgotten most of it but it’s nice to keep dipping in & having a go at some problems. I’m actually surprising myself how much I do remember. I have a question? How would you know to divide instead of multiply? I understand that when the variable is attached to a number multiplying is in order and also why didn't you divide the 20 with the opposite of the likepositive 20 on both sides. I had to learn a lot of rules, but never the reason behind it. In the first example, the rule is when you take a number and place it on the other side, you must change the sign. It was called (erroneously) transposing. It would be nice if the emphasis was placed on the power of the equal sign. Anything you do on the left side of the equal sign, you must do the same to the right side to keep the equality.

Here's a question for you with the negative -50 ÷t = -5. Why would somebody make up that equation. Like that in the first place because of tea is -5 I was wondering how you got the what the t value was to begin with and then you just said it was -5 so it's just -50 / -5 and you get 10 that whole integer thing didn't even need to be there it's kind of ridiculous I understand that's how they are doing it for some reason but why why are they adding something that isn't there in the first place.
