Back in the early days of gaming, text adventures and interactive fiction were regarded as experiences for more grown-up, mature players, eschewing simplistic arcade-style action for cerebral, imaginative play. Moonmist from Infocom, published in 1986 and seen here in its Atari 8-bit incarnation, is an introductory-level adventure that can be solved in an evening, but there's a few interesting things about it well worth looking at.
Played on The400 Mini with a USB keyboard, and the "feelies" printed out from The Museum of Adventure Game History at www.mocagh.org/loadpage.php?g...

My first exposure to Infocom games was Cutthroats. I didn’t have a legit copy of the game, so I didn’t have the “feelies” that were required to complete the game. The first Infocom game I actually completed was Enchanter, which was a Zork spinoff.

Great stuff! Really enjoyed it as I very much enjoy any playthrough you do, and glad it was done on an Infocom game this time around. Take care and I look forward to many more videos yet to come.

Infocom's games were basically my introduction to PC gaming. I used to be so into them that my dad got sort of bothered by it and gently encouraged me to start playing games that had graphics in them. I wish I had kept all the Infocom games I used to own, if only for all the feelies, and the packaging was just really nice all around.

I always like a good oldschool adventure game. My favorites are the old rainbird/firebird adventures

Hi Pete. Sorry I disappeared. I've felt a bit crappy lately so I haven't been doing much of anything really. I just thought I'd let you know.
