In my opinion, given of -x^2 - 11x + 42, we can change the sign to make the first coefficient positive. The result would be: x^2 + 11x - 42 = 0 By factoring, we can say that (x-3)(x+14) = 0. Then solving the values of x, the result is 3 and -14.

However, I still lack knowledge about algebraic fractions and fractional equations. I'm studying it now. I am currently studying the essential steps to learning quadratic equations. Through your video, you will realize that the quadratic equation is a very complex structure without basic knowledge. Your explanation is very good.
