Man I've been a big fan! I've subbed and I'm still using Beginner's but I average around 40 seconds. this is a Gan 356X, but I just use it because it looks cool, consider buying a Moyu rs3m v5 (with or without ball core), best valued cube atm :)

Personally I think it's better to be dual color neutral (able to solve on white and yellow), since you won't have to use as much inspection time on deciding the cross color if the solve. It's also pretty rare to have a scremble with both white and yellow being really bad

I'm having difficulties getting a sub 60 sec. Only get under a minute 1/5 times maybe. Should I first try getting sub 60 with one color or should I remain color neutral as I am now? I do take my sweet time because of the color neutrality.

keep being color neutral, you'll get used to it soon enough, and once you do you'll be thankful :) although if you don't enjoy being CN, you can always just go white
