I believe that inner peace and outer peace are separate. while Jedi seek to impose peace on the world around them, Sith can find peace internally by accepting the chaos of the world around them. If you stand in river, to not be swept away, one must impose their will upon the rush of water and force the world around themselves to change. To stand in a river and accept this is the natural order of things and let it sweep you away, following it's course, accepting its current, the chaos of the reality of the situation, you can be at peace internally. A real life example, my ex may have been more in the mindset of a Jedi, forcing control of the world around her to maintain a peaceful environment to provide peace to herself. The stress of this caused her to have a heart attack and heart problems that flared up anytime she was out of her comfort zone. I on the other hand have adapted to the Sith teachings more. There will never be peace, there will never be stability. Stop waiting to hit rock bottom to stop your fall so you can climb up, every time you think you've hit the bottom, the bottom falls out. Embrace the chaos, accept the fall, and learn to fly in the middle of it. I was homeless shortly after breaking my legs, losing my job, losing my apartment and her and her kids(that I loved as my own kids) had moved across country to stay with family after our break up. I was wheeling myself around town in a wheel chair and she mentioned to me on the phone one day(it was a long drawn out complicated break up) how she couldn't under stand why I didn't seem stressed. Why my entire world had fallen down around me and I was calm. It was because I had accepted the chaos, embrace the reality of what IS, and existed within the limitations of the reality of the situation. I did not try to change things beyond my control, I did not try and force things outside of my power, I did not stress against the current. Externally, Peace was a lie, there was nothing peaceful about the chaos of my situation. But internally, I had accepted the chaos. I spun at the same speed internally as the world around me and was in harmony with the chaos. I remained level headed and focused on the moment. It has been 6 months since then, I have relearned to walk after going to the hospital and getting X-rays and being told "Yep, they are broken, Good luck with this referral." and then never following up because for the cost it would have been, i trust myself with my health and money more. I taught myself to tear out and install tile showers. And I have opened my own business. Peace is a lie, because Peace is in Chaos, not in controlling Chaos.

The concept of dark and light is skewed to a simple “light good dark bad” perspective for the audience but in reality that’s not true. Both the Sith and Jedi code are inherently flawed, in the case for the sith code "The force shall free me" implies that it is only the force that can break your chains rather than you own strength, and that relying on something for you own strength is a weakness.

I agree that both sides are flawed, but one's Force is a part of the Force. The Jedis' virtues (balance, peace, harmony) are the better ones but by suppressing the Dark in them they lose power. The Sith have greater power by harnessing Hatred and Anger but they become reliant on them instead of acting out balance and harmony when Hatred and Anger aren't available to them. The strongest would be a Grey Jedi who has Jedi values but still harnesses the things the Sith gain their power from. And of course this isn't just fiction. You can become a metaphorical Grey Jedi in your own life.

The Jedi believe in Internal Discipline and External Harmony. While the Sith believes in Internal Harmony and external Discipline. The Sith in general are far more realistic and believable in their outlook they appeal to what is fundamental to all of us our nature as sentient beings as individuals to survive, to promote ourselves, to achieve our goals, to stop at nothing to achieve them and break the chains that bind us. In being subservient to no one they excel themselves far beyond what others have already achieved. Though ruthless they are still shown to be highly successful that constant desire for self improvement, to not let others drag them down is what defines them and in of itself the Sith in general embrace their sentient nature rather than deny it like the Jedi.
