Stay positive Pat...just because you have been referred to that department it doesn't mean you have what they are looking for...but it is good that you are being checked out for the big C because the earlier any treatment can start, the better. In the meantime look after each other and keep calm and carry on.xx

Oh poor pat, we really hope the right people sort you out soon, you can see she in pain sometimes, let’s hope her sugar levels sorts out as well, because that can make you quite poorly as well, she definitely in the wars at the moment, also pat not so long ago I had to see different specialists for my bladder, kidneys, so I know the worries drive you around the bend, but I had the all clear, so both of you stay positive, Trevor love how you are with pat, beautiful couple, rose

Hi both, Pat is looking very pale today I thought I saw her wince once, so she is obviously uncomfortable and it got me thinking, has anyone mentioned kidney stones? They can be very painful as my friend had kidney stones, and she said they were really painful... especially when urinating. I'm hoping all these investigations finally show what is actually going on. Keep smiling Pat... I'm wishing you all the best and hope you're feeling better soon ❤ x

Stay positive both. It's awful that you had to read the word 'cancer' on the medical notes, but the fact that nothing has actually been said could be a good thing in that it's not considered a strong possibility (although I feel it is very wrong not to mention something this fundamental, however small the likelihood is). Perhaps the sentence containing the word cancer is necessary in order to escalate and get Pat on an urgent two week referral list as a precautionary measure to tick that box and rule it out. I sometimes wonder if it's a good thing that we can access our medical records. I can see how worried you both are and I can totally understand, this really has gone on for far too long. I completely agree, I had an MRI scan once just because I'd been flagged up in a workplace audiology test as having a hearing defect in my left ear, my parents panicked and says they were looking for tumours and I bet if I'd had access to my notes back then it would have said that too but I think like you say it's more of cursory check for these things just in case there's an outside chance. I think like you say, if they were truly concerned about something like that they wouldn't hide it from Pat.

Unexplained weight loss, constant pain, blood in urine don't make me feel easy. I have been trying to get someone to take Pat's weight loss seriously for the last six months, now it has appeared in her records at last.

Trevor my advice would be stop reading these notes , Doctors will do lots of different test ! if the doctor has not said it’s cancer it is not worth the worry you have given yourself !

Hello both of you ,my hubby and l have been married 59 years ,we were a blind date ,we've been through a heck of a lot together ,we are also complete opposite , like you Pat lm on auto pilot my hubby is more laid back somehow were still doing good he like you Trevor always gets cross if l don't wake him if l have been unwell l can't help it I'd rather get on with it and not bother him it's just my way .
