@@phuckbillgates8790 Like Bonds, it'll be "after the fact". What everyone conveniently forgets about the steroid era is that the abused substances were not illegal when they were used. Also, MLB encouraged -- at a MINIMUM -- turned a blind eye to the use of PEDs. After the mid-90's work stoppage/strike, they needed an unhappy public to return to the parks.

All great hitters, but Barry was the best of his generation. Personally, I think Palmiero had THE most fluid, natural swing, but the quickest bat had to be Gary Sheffield.

Bonds was like a Black Ted Williams. He had a sweet swing and incredible bat speed and hand-eye coordination. Even if he they just based their assessment of Bonds career pre-steroids, he gets into the HOF. He was already a Hall of Famer at the time he started doing steroids.

No over strength, no extra rotation, if possible make contact with the center of the barrel, right leg aligned with elbow, torso and shoulders. Plus his hand and eye coordination is unreal. BTW, he used the smallest bat in baseball history. A 33onzbat. Not even D. Gordon uses a bat so light.
@jorgedelgado81773 жыл бұрын
@Marky Coleman O. Smith bat was a 36 inch bat, I don't think you will find a wood 36 inch bat that weights 29onz. Louisville Slugger has in their museum few of Ozzie bats and none of them were 29onz. Nice trying using the BatDigest Blog when they don't bring a single reference. Regarding Carew I can't say...
@nate66483 жыл бұрын
@Marky Coleman exactly. I got no idea where how this guy pulled this information up his ass. There's a video where they actually swing Barry's bat, and they could barely get it through the zone because of how heavy it was.
@brianc28233 жыл бұрын
You are all wrong... Barry Bonds bats were made by Sam bat which is a manufacturer in Ottawa Canada. The defining feature of his bat was the knob which he designed himself so it felt like a baseball in his hands. He used a 34” bat with a weight he was very specific about...31.8oz! You can call Sam bat and they will make you custom order and are very generous with their help and information Have a nice day!

drops his shoulder, keeps elbow tucked & lowers the tip of the bat toward the ground while rotating. whoever taught him that is a genius. idc if you throw 150 mph fast ball he'll get that bat over the plate when the ball gets there. now sprinkle a little HGH in there and you have the home run machine.
