The amount of money in iron on this channel is mind blowing. Does anyone know if this company (I believe it’s the company’s channel) is union or non-union? CATerpillar makes the best blade there is. I don’t want to hear John Deere this or Komatsu that because CAT is the best and last the longest and are the standard to measure all the others. Parts availability alone makes them the best because a machine not moving making money is costing money. CAT frames don’t stretch like Deere and Komatsu meaning you can keep throwing new tracks and undercarriages on it and not have to worry about cheap steel bending and cracking. No one wins with the emissions nonsense on the engine because every company in the world that makes tier 4 final engines have experience growing pains and problems regarding that technology. I still believe CAT builds the best longest lasting engines.

Amazing how quiet they are, with the exception of the tracks. And of course the ridiculous backup beeper. I've been running a brand new D6T and I am impressed with how quiet that is as well- again with the exception of the stupid high tracks banging around and the beeper. I guess it can't make much noise through all that exhaust after treatment BS

I run a komatsu 155ax and I can say it sucks compared to a d8. High track is superior. Especially when turning with a full blade

Love the equipment. But isn't it faster just to blast and move the rubble?
@langdons28483 жыл бұрын
If it was solid rock then yes, but this isn't. Cheaper, quicker, and easier to rip and push. And no need to deal with the expense and hassle of explosives work which is not insignificant.

With that d10 having Trimble on it is it just guidance or is it actual blade control? Meaning it’ll pick grade up like a d6n
@rossgray30705 жыл бұрын
Probably depends on what type of GPS is on it, I been on a D7R2 with full auto blade control, and have been on a 9R and 10T with GPS but no auto blade control, depends on whats been fitted to the machine.

Cool jobsite. But it's seems insane to me to spend so much money to build houses on a once pretty hillside. How about we start building manufacturing plants again and create economy again?
@Qce-i6d5 жыл бұрын
Well, most if the flat plots were built on decades ago. So all the rich people want their giant air conditioned summer homes atop the hills. Homes built here are sky high expensive because of all the earth moving they have to do before construction probably. Smh
