Description says making plot for new shopping center. So what was once forest will soon be a Walmart and so on. Taking what once was hills and pushing it into the lower areas to have a huge flat area.

Darn right. I love cat dozers especially the brand new D11. The only komatsu dozer I like is the 575 super dozer but I love the look of cat dozers. The KOMATSU 575 looks like a tank but the cat dozers look like powerful farm tractors that could pull massive farm implements like giant seeders or even rotary mining equipment or forestry mulchers
@NocyMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@jezcolborne6329 cat just looks so simply built yet it has everything you need to do any furious job
@jezcolborne63293 жыл бұрын
@@NocyMusic no. These are very high tech now so simple is not the case hear. Its plain old brute force. Cat have shown komatsu a thing or 2 with there high track concept and overall these powerful machines not by HP but other things other dozers don't have except for the large liebharr which has the same kind of track concept as the big cats so dousent that tell you that even small loaders have now embraced the same concept as the cats with the high drive

Why does one of them have the ripper facing the wrong way?
@dhewitt25143 жыл бұрын
What had they been using the backward ripper shank for - levering rocks from a high wall?
@jonasasplund14233 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same and I ran D10s. Never had a ripper installed that way.
@callmewheels4806 Жыл бұрын
The ripper isn’t going to be used in this material as it looks like fill. Chances they were replacing the shin guard or tooth on the ripper shank and for convenience, they just left it alone. The material is SO FRIENDLY the cutting-edge on the dozer itself is adequate. Many dozers sold East of California/New Mexico/Nevada are sold without a ripper box as they’re not needed. The soil is easy to penetrate like the material in this video. Just a thought.

At ~$4.5/gallon/SoCal 2021 and ONLY considering the dozers looks like this: ~40-45 gal/hr/dozer…45gallons X 4dozers X 8hours @ ~$4.5 = $6480 for the dozers ALONE! Add the rest of the equipment (blades/compactors/excavators etc.) and you are likely Well Above the $10k mark you cite!

Is this one D11 using a coal blade, or is it a little bit smaller? Because the blades of all 3 are beginner than usual. One of them has a normal U-Blade, the other one has a Super U-Blade but the third one has a much bigger blade. I thought they only use if for coal, but obviously it works for sand too. But it wouldn't work with heavy gravel material or hard overburden I think, it would be too heavy to push, too much resistance.
