Yes, light is the key! Brighter light will bring it back, and will flourish! Also same for philodendron African Fantasy. Both love brighter lightning.

definitely the weather helps. Eventho my balcony doesn't get as long sun hours at the end of the year, there is still at least 3 hours of evening sun everyday and bright shade the rest of the hours.

Try putting cinnamon on the rotting parts instead of the sulfur powder

I do use cinnamon but normally for not so severe cases. Normally for succulents when i dont water that much and the substrate is dry. Cinnamon tend to wash off quickly. But yes cinnamon works too.
