Some Drama in Kohima | Nagaland | Vlog 16 |

My plans change often. But this time was a bit different.
I stayed in Kohima for two days, using the time to explore the town, walk through fascinating markets and taste some interesting Naga cuisine. I then loaded up the bike and set off for Imphal (Manipur). But, the bike had other plans.
I only made it to the petrol pump in Kohima before she stopped working and extended my stay. Turns out it was a good thing because later that day there was a cyclone warning issued.
2 more days holed up in Kohima, thankfully, with great company and good food. With the weather forecast looking bleak and the bike only limping along, I had to take the call to not ride further and head back into Assam instead.
The end of the North-East adventure now seemed nearer than ever before.

North east has been avoided for too long. worst part is taking a bike to interior part of nagaland. I'm afraid Nagaland and NE will remain forever underdeveloped. You can't build something that you have ignored for more than half century.

Yes the road was never tht good in past years too but due to upgradation of the kma-dimapur highway to 4 lane recently, the condition of the road has worsened ..... I hope the work is complted asap for evry ones convenience...... Visit again..after the 4 lane is done :)

You should try to visit during December. Thats when the road repairs are done because the Hornbill festival starts. Although the weather might be frezzing cold, its one of the best time to meet people of different kind (bikers, tourists, musicians, vloggers). Regards from Nagas enjoyed the vlog

Sorry for travellers to experience our under developed GREAT NAGALAND...I fell more sorry for sick people,elderly especially pregnant women travelling for better treatments and so on... But I would like to clarify the viewers that our NAGALAND ROAD is not like AMERICAN, JAPAN OR RUSSIAN ROAD...our ROADs are so badass that it won't accept TAR or any kinda SAND CONCRETE and last but not least,our roads are stupid cuz of WEATHER...winter not possible to repair since the weather gets cold,summer and monsoon cuz of rain,autumn not possible cuz day is too short and night is too long... That's the unavoidable reality of Nagaland roads..

the road :(. but a four lane highway is currently under construction. until then for the people driving down the KMA-DMPR highway, it's 'dusty/muddy road take me home.' By the way, monsoon is not the best time to visit Kohima. spring and autumn are the best times.
