It was a very enchanted evening. I saw her across a crowded room. (it was a small dance hall, in Honolulu, on Dillingham just Ewa of King). I kinda knew that I would see her again. I didn't see her laughing across that crowded room. I saw her sitting down (the rules were boys on one side, girls on the other side.) I guess one could say that enchanted evening I found my true love. She didn't call me, so I decided to go to her side and ask her to dance. She had refused many offers so I thought I would also be refused. If she would refuse my offer to dance then I figured that I would probably dream al alone. She accepted my offer. Anyway, 13 months later we got married. We stayed married for 63 years, 5 months, and 2 days. She died last month. And I grieve for her every second of the day.

When a student I was chatting merrily in a group and happened to look up. Two girls caught my eye standing in front of the pub's fireplace. I said to my friend I'm going to marry that girl with the beautiful dark hair . I got up and asked if they would like to join us which they did. 50 years later we are still together happily married with two children much older than when we first met.
