There are no words to do justice to Brian Stokes-Mitchell's performance! Pure excellence! And Reba's reaction at the end - that wasn't acting!! Be still my heart!!

You haven't listerned to enough baritones. Which is not to say this fellow is bad. He is VERY good, in fact. Really, I learned years ago to never use the superlative when describing artists. When you do that you rule out so many other wonderful artists.

I love, love, love Brian Stokes Mitchell. He is such a marvelous baritone and makes the perfect Emil in South Pacific. His voice was meant for "Some Enchanted Evening " and "This Nearly was Mine". If a movie remake of South Pacific is planned, Brian Stokes Mitchell should be first in line for the role of Emil. He also should be first in line if a remake of Man of La Mancha is planned.

Rodgers and Hammerstein are absolutely my favorite song-writing duo along with The Beatles...... enchanting..... "Some enchanted evening, someone may be laughing, You may hear her laughing across a crowded room, And night after night, as strange as it seems, The sound of her laughter will sing in your dreams." Can't help my eyes tearing up every time I'm watching the movie or listening to a performance of Some Enchanted Evening.. and those are tears of overwhelming euphoria from this spiritual higher consciousness journey i am blessed to have found. So many wild and crazy dreams begin to tantalize my emotions, like maybe I've died and already gone to Heaven. 🌹💖 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

For anyone who needs it here are the amazing lyrics to this amazing and beautiful song. Some enchanted evening You may see a stranger, You may see a stranger Across a crowded room And somehow you know, You know even then That somewhere you'll see her Again and again. Some enchanted evening Someone may be laughin', You may hear her laughin' Across a crowded room And night after night, As strange as it seems The sound of her laughter Will sing in your dreams. Who can explain it? Who can tell you why? Fools give you reasons, Wise men never try. Some enchanted evening When you find your true love, When you feel her call you Across a crowded room, Then fly to her side, And make her your own For all through your life you May dream all alone. Once you have found her, Never let her go. Once you have found her, Never let her go!
