You definitely want a good overhang on all sides. Luckily for me the former owner of the 1972 model I'm dealing with put a metal roof and structure over the home. Best thing they ever did. Everything else is a shiite show. I've come a LONG way. If you have drywall between the studs, etc you're lucky. Try compressed paper. That's what it is. Multi-tools make good work of it to get it ready for drywall. When you're gutting the ceilings make sure you have clutch bits for your drill. You can get them from a trailer supply site. Gotta love those florets.
