As an actual reverse engineer, I often ran into "hackers" (cheaters) in Metroid Prime: Hunters. My solution was to disable their guns on my client so they not only couldn't kill me with their rapid fire instant kill guns, but they also couldn't even push me around or inflict status effects on me, which also pissed off anyone abusing the near infinite range freeze glitch to encase everyone on the map in ice... I would then proceed to teleport to legitimate players with 1 HP and feed them so they would win instead of the cheaters, lol (I also caught a guy using my own aim bot on me...I knew he had it because he could see me through the wall while I flew around outside the map. Guess he forgot to also look up my walk through walls hack!)

This brings me back. I once snuck a shroom into 1st and dodged a blue, and this hacker who was *trying* to play like they had some skill started targeting me because they thought I was a FTW. Then there was the time there was a hacker who targeted the highest VR player in the room, I witnessed a 9999 Vr player get blown back, and when they left the room, my 8.6k VR out of all the 5000-6000s meant that I was next. And, like in this video, some random hacker decided to target me for no reason at all, but the funny thing was, another hacker joined the room, saw that I was being picked on, and supplied me with stars to escape. AND, I found that same jerk who targeted me in a CTWW, and I watched as his lacking talent took his VR from 9999 down to the low 8000s, and this was back when gaining VR was super easy. And then there was the whole BF vs 4DR "rivalry" in which I joined BF just to piss off some butthurt kids whenever they would see my clan tag.
