I still have days when I feel I will never again feel joy, yet some days I do feel sparks of joy, but on bad days it still feels like it will never get better. It's so day by day. I can't wait for the good days to outweigh the bad.

I was never broken! This is my current new identity. I have identified myself as someone with mental illness for the past 15 years. The drugs actually caused my “mental illness.” I was initially given a gabapentinoid for nerve pain at age 16. I was never broken!

Yes I love this. Thank you. We will heal. I didn't think I would. I was told I wouldn't. People in the support groups can be such negative fear mongers. I was told I wouldn't heal if I didn't believe I would heal. I was told I wouldn't heal until I was off all psych drugs. I was told I wouldn't heal for all sorts of reasons. Guess what? They were all dead wrong. I have come so far and now I know I will recover fully. I'm almost there. I really didn't think I was going to make it for a long time but I did. We will all make it. Our bodies want to get better and they know exactly what to do in order to achieve healing. Hang in there, everyone!

He also said in this world we will have many troubles but TAKE HEART I have overcome it and that He would never leave or forsake us..But no matter what it looks like, lean not on your own understand but TRUST Him to bring glory from ashes..that's why it's called the good FIGHT of FAITH.This life is a breath and will be over before you know it but He still has you here for a reason..don't give up..He is for you girl, don't let the enemy tell you otherwise.

Paul also pleaded with the Lord 3 times to take away a tormentor of his flesh but God said " My strength is made perfect in weakness". Yes this world is rough..Jesus knows that, the very people who He came to save KILLED Him,even though He already knew they would. What I'm saying is,there is a reason it's called "The good fight of faith" it's tough girl. But He promised to Never leave or forsake us, and to not lean on our own understanding, but to TRUST Him. My husband watched this. He remarked - only one man and all other speakers were woman. He wondered how is it that women are more affected by withdrawal than men. Now I know there are many men going through withdrawal but would like to know the ratio of men to women in the benzo community. Just asking as to be able to answer his question, really. If anyone actually knows the answer to this. Thank you.

More women are medicated in the first place than men. I think it’s 1 in 4 women where it’s 1 in 6 men. I would also say men are more likely to be prescribed antidepressants and women more Benzos but I can’t prove that. It’s just what I’ve noticed. Also, I work with men but way more women probably 10x more women than men who I coach.

@@AngiePeacockMSW Pretty much everything. They take turns in like groups. Burning, boob aches, wonky cotton brain, anxiety, surges of anxiety then hot flashes, burning tongue. A set will calm then another set will come in. I was doing much better last fall but after the first of the year had a lot of loss. Not sure if that caused it? My setbacks tend to be from those kinds of situations. Can’t do anything about that. Just gets more lonely when you get so far out. I go to my dr and get regular checkups. I will have parts of the day where I’m really good. I just say to my brain…COME ON ALREADY!! lol.

@AngiePeacockMSW what I meant by that is that there is tons of info on benzo and very little on ads unless you know exactly where to look. Also my dr knew about benzo danger when my first level of wd would have healed from zoloft. Bc he said "if this was a benzo you were taking I'd say yes this is from that" and instead I got gaslighted and tortured in a way that's too inhumane to describe. I'd have healed had I known about s.a. or inner compass. If I had been on a benzo even that dumb dr would have been the one to save me. So that's why I say I wish I'd been on a benzo
