its also sad for m+ aff. pick sl and its a dead talent in aoe. pick saw of seed, and its dead talent on bosses.

SL is not a dead talent in AOE. Run the rolling agony conduit and put up some Agonies and Siphons before you pop your seed of corruption, then add haunt + UA + PS + SR and rapture spam, and you'll do great damage. It takes some getting used to, but it's very good. And the upside is that you also get to do good boss damage.

they've literally said they want to limit min/maxing and that conduit energy was implemented precisely to do that :)

It really *should* be perfect for it... unfortunately a majority of the KT adds didn't 'die' in raid testing (i.e. didn't proc Shadowburn resets or work with shard sniping), so they almost certainly won't proc WoC in the current state. I really hope they change it, though.

It depends on what kind of damage is needed on the fight. If you need a lot of focused burst on certain adds to kill the boss (which is what things are looking like from testing), then Destro will be king for progression and Affliction will be all padding for farm kills. If your goal is big numbers, you could run something like Sow the Seeds on a boss like Fatescribe or Soulrender and do lots of aoe to the little adds. But that doesn't kill the boss any faster, and many other classes can do that without sacrificing their single target in the process.

do you think aff woc is going to be played on KT? I do think that destro might be the play if they fix shadowburn on that fight

The majority of the adds on KT, except the tank add, don't proc Shadowburn resets (at least the raid testing I watched), so they won't count for WoC unfortunately... unless the fight gets updated/patched.

I don't understand why they needed to nerf Focused Malignancy when it's a single target damage increase only. If the nerf was for PVP (where you can have UA on multiple targets), then they should have just reduced rapture damage inside PVP instances. They do it like that with other abilities already. Affliction single target is not completely busted outside of situations like Sludgefist pillars and the first boss in Mists. Shadow priests and boomkins already do more than us over the course of a patchwerk fight when we're not getting external buffs.
