I keep a 21 year old male Jardine's named Skippy. He knows over 50 words and phrases, is incredibly smart, and also a troublemaker! He is a lot of fun, but can be excruciatingly loud. I'm probably his 10th owner although I've been with him for 7 years.

My baby Jardine flew away this evening and I’m looking for Jardine sounds to play to try attract him from the tree he has flown into. A very big Blue-Gum tree. 😢

Did you get him back?

Hi. Yes I did! She spent the night in the tree and got her the next day - after 6 hours of trying everything to get her to come to me. She was amazing, she did so well. She was exhausted and starving when I got her but she was so happy to be back with me. (Didn’t know her sex but had done a DNA gender test - the day I got her back I called the vet to ask how she flew away because I had taken her for her wings to be clipped and have the DNA test done. They told me they didn’t clip her wings because she was too young. They failed to tell me that - but didn’t fail to charge me for the clipping. I was so cross. Then they said “by the way. She’s a female”. Blah.

@@teneilcallaghan6326 Great to hear. Glad you got HER back lol My birds have gotten out and luckily all came back except one. The one that didn't come back was clipped, she couldn't fly back down cause she didn't have the skills and then the wind took her. She was a sun conure.
