Northeast India is the homeland of a large number of tribes. There are 145 tribal communities of which 78 are large each with a population of more than 5000. They constitute around 12 per cent of the total tribal population of India and 25.81 per cent of the total population of North East India.

You can find Rengma of Nagaland from Tseminyu sub- division under Kohima district, just like Zeliangrong Nagas living in three state of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland. Yes, Rabha's tribe are not from Nagaland and they are not Nagas.

Kuki (Nagaland) and Thadou Kuki you mentioned in your video are literally of the same traditional dress. Important info: All the Kuki tribes of Nagaland are given ST recognition under Kuki in the Nagaland State ST list while in Manipur they are recognised as ST but separately based on their tribe's name such as Vaiphei, Gangte, Thadou, Mate, Simte, Zou etc..

Some corrections to be made or clarify: 1. The 2nd attire which you mentioned Aimol is wrong, it is for the Thadou Kuki. Aimol attire has 60 - 70% difference from Thadou Kuki. 2. Paite Tribe are from Manipur not Mizoram. They do settled in Mizoram but are very less in number. Max. 10% or less than that.. 3. Spelling - It should be TANGKHUL not Tankul/Tankhul.

Instead mention as some of the traditional attires of North east India. Because it may hurt the people who are not included on this video. The people of Tripura are very good. I have been for 5 years. I am also a hillman. People here from Uttarakhand have liked me so much, they are very straight from the heart. The hill people of our Uttarakhand are also very upright, I have made bamboo vegetable, Chakoi, and summer. Have eaten rice, my friends are Debbarma, Kalai, Mog, Jamatia, Reang, Tripura, Chakma, all of them, the kings here have a unique history, the present kings here are also very good scholar, Mother Tripureshwari temple is very good, Chitamura, incl. I have seen the whole of Tripura every year I come to Tripura. I feel my state, Tripura can never forget.👏❤️🕺😥

You're correct that Mekhela Sador is a traditional attire, but, I guess the video uploader is just trying to show the traditional attires worn by the tribes from the NorthEast. Mekhela Sador is worn by the whole Assamese Community.

That's exactly what I was thinking that the mekhela sador was missing. If it's only the different tribes then the Meitis should not have been shown as well as they are not tribals. Many other tribes are also missing.
