Gold doesn't change in value, the fiat dollar does. The dollar continually drops in value due to inflation only to be manipulated upwards by the Fed screwing with the interest rate. The Fed is losing control, and when they do, gold will really shine

Not possible, at least on the futures market, there are breaks where the market closes if it moves too fast. Not sure on gold but I think the limit on silver is 8-12 dollars a day or something like that.

Agree. Very likely we r headed for a decade long bear market in all western assets. It will be a period of geopolitical n currency changes. Within US this is the chance to do the long-needed economic n social n government reforms. If we succeed, US will be on a long-term sustainable growth path in a decade. But we must take the pain 1st n do the adjustments. From investing pov, sell all US, european equities n bonds. Go long Gold and Crypto. Go long emerging market trade........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to JinnyFranz whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Well when some of my mining stocks hit minus 25 percent I folded. I can't take that kind of drop. Then the next day they started going up. I realize it now, I should not be in this space. I'm back in a physical gold etf, slow gains but no 25 % drops in two weeks.

The situation with the high yield is very real. As for the long duration bonds, it is a bet on the FED rate more than anything. If you think a recession is imminent (as I do) and that the FED will likely drop those rates as fast as it hiked them, there is a case to be made on the curve speculation.

Schadenfreude : happiness for someone else's misfortune. I agree with Rick 100%. What also caught my eye is the FED rate going down and being signaled lower and the 10y yield going up. Same timeframe as the REITs, which also behaved similarly. If that trend continues the consequences seem clear: 1 - the spread between the S&P 500 yield and the 10y bond continues to increase, which means a sharp correction; 2- Bank guarantees go to the vinegar and new bank liquidity issues will show up with a vengeance.

Interesting how many 1971 prices you can predict to a very small margin of error, simply by depreciating today’s price by 7% compounded over the last 53 years… More interestingly, if you do the same for the US $36TR on balance sheet debt… you would predict a 1971 debt level of approx $1TR, in fact, it was approx $400B, so money supply adjusted, today’s debt in real terms is 2.5 x bigger.

I think everyone woith half a brain knows that gold has performed well - they are actually referring to miners.... My jnr miners - which barely moved as gold/silver soared - have now fallen back even further as gold/silver have corrected just slightly. Crazy!!
