okay look... if you want to talk about Cats! the musical you need to preface whether its the 2019 or the 1998 one. They are two completely different movies and frankly I think the 1998 version is actually quite enjoyable. I think its a real shame that Cats! is now only known for its 2019 version.

As a musical geek, when Martin Guerre was mentioned, I audibly gasped! I love Martin Guerre and I would love to maybe direct the show and have several of my friends in certain parts. I'm not sure I could perform in it myself even though I have already done two of Boublil and Schonberg's other musicals, Les Mis and Miss Saigon. Maybe I would be a good Benoit, but that's about it. Also, since I just searched for the character info, I saw an article that may herald the return of Martin Guerre the Musical this year?

@@brionykay_ I feel like I could have a lot of fun pretending to be in love with a scarecrow. And I have both English version cast albums which I like for different reasons. The 1996 one for the orchestrations and the 1999 one for the ability to follow the plot since it's another sung-through musical. Also, Starlight Express is my ALW guilty pleasure musical, so I'm actually happy Back to the Future morphed into Starlight Express and the last build was either Pearl or Dinah. Iconic.

Starlight Express was first drafted as Thomas & Friends iirc. Either that or was inspired by T&F since Andrew Lloyd Webber WAS trying to make a Thomas show in a style like Ivor The Engine. This failed of course and starting in 1984 we had the TV adaptation we all know and cherish. Then HIT Entertainment and Mattel ruined it...
