Please do AN ENTIRE video on Wuthering Heights. I'd love to hear your thoughts and what you have to say doing a deep dive. It's one of my favorite books of all time! I feel like it's negative comments always reference the toxicity of the relationship, but I just feel like those readers are only doing a surface level reading and being one dimensional in their review because the story is so much more than that! I'd love to hear what you think!

I am a fifth grade teacher and one of the units I teach is the children’s version of Don Quixote. At the end of the unit they have to write an essay on the topic “Do Don Quixote’s good intentions justify his actions?” Hearing you talk about reading it in grad school, makes me feel like I am actually making a difference in my students lives, in helping them understand this piece of literature.

You seem to have a talent for pointing out symbolic themes. Hands. Necks. Fruit. You have such a knack for pointing out the way these things are used to further storytelling through metaphor and motif! It's so fun hearing you sprinkle in those insights throughout your videos.

The Invisible Man was the first classic novel I ever read and I still say it's the best book I've ever read. I read all the books in my elementary school so my librarian would often tell me which books to pick up from our local library like the Invisible Man. I think it's great that your professor encouraged a reparative reading of Milton. Sometimes our first impressions aren't the most interesting ones when reading and it's always nice to be exposed to different perspectives and see what literature has to offer that you might not have initially seen.

I’m not sure if these questions have been answered previously, but here’s some Q&A: What did you get your bachelors in? What is the career goal now that you have a masters? (I’m working on a bachelors and thinking about getting a masters but I have no clue what types of jobs exist after a masters😭) And one last thing, not a question but a suggestion of some classics that I love that maybe you would like to check out (though you’ve probably already read/heard of these): The Awakening by Kate Chopin, The Stranger by Albert Camus, and We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson ☺️

As much as I love all of your recommendations… these videos are IT. this is what made me subscribe in the first place… something about just really dissecting a book and talking about it from different points of ideas and themes just ignites my reading flame! I also love easy and fluff reads but these discussions are the core of why I love to read. Great job Noelle!! Congrats on your degree, I know it was well earned. Idk of you remember when I commented on one of your earlier videos from when you first started grad school when you were scared for the future endeavors of school and I encouraged you that you can do it, especially if someone like me whose married with 3 kids and teaches full time can do it. Happy belated birthday!! 🥰 Thanks for sharing this - I am so on the fence about grad school for lit because I did undergrad in it and loved it so much. Q&A stuff! • How do you manage your time and priorities? Do you paper journal? What are your top priorities now that school is done? • How is therapy going? Do you still go regularly? • What will you miss most about grad school? Did you have a favorite professor and if so, what did they teach and what did you appreciate learning from them? (Aside from your Milton professor - she sounds legit!) • Gym routine! What do you do and how did you decide your routine? • What are you looking forward to this week? This month? For the rest of the year? The next 5 years? I just want a good Noelle sit-down and general life chat. ☺ Thank you for sharing you and your thoughts!!!
