It’s interesting how much Charlie’s character draws a parallel to my life.. I too had a father that never was around and mother that was a prostitute but, was into crack and opioids rather then alcohol.. I rose above it though and are doing well in IT and have a wife and son, but this show has opened my eyes to a world of what could have been which is both dark and hilarious 😂

I still swear to this day that the episode with Charlie's play is one of the funniest pieces of cinema ever made. The verbal and visual gags, the comedic timing, the absurdity of it all. I still laugh even after all these years. This was the best show on TV for a long time.
