Hey Curtis, excellent list as always…I recently ordered VanPyRum, should be here any day, can’t wait to try it out. For me, Argos Fall Of Phaeton has an incredible sillage, compliment beast for me (as with most Argos frags). Very underrated from the house. As for warmer weather, Bohemian Lime from Goldfield & Banks has an incredible sillage also. People seem to love it! Keep up the great content my man.

Psychedelic is my second favorite patchouli frag. Profumum Roma Patchouly would be my first. They are both very similar chocolatey patchouli, with the later being nuclear in performance.

⁠⁠⁠@@CurtisNoseno problem, Profumum Roma are very strong with most from 40-50% oil. If you are a patchouli fan - Maison Crivelli Patchouli Magnetik is great and Gallagher Fragrances Behold Patchouli (spicy) are two of my top favorites. Gallagher Fragrances has one other frag called Rose All Dae that smells like a hot apple pie right down to the steel pan. Smells super sexy on my wife.

Hey Curtis! I am not sure if I’m ready for Psychedelique. I get a bit scared when the patchouli is bold and dark but I do enjoy a lot of cleaner and lighter patchouli scents! So may be I will be there someday! I got my VanPyRum sample and OMG it is so good! I will have to wait until our weather turns a little bit more cooler so I can fully enjoy it! Thank you for your recommendation! Definitely full bottle worthy 😉

Private Label from Jovoy is even more potent with patchouli, vetiver and leather, labdanum etc. You have to be in the mood for Private Label! Un Air d’Apogee is smashingly good for the price.

I've been collecting for years and still don't love patchouli in general. Of course there are different types of patchouli and I prefer some over others but in general don't like scents where the patchouli is too dominant to my nose. One of the few exceptions is Chanel Coromandel because the patchouli is not "dirty" and all the things I don't like in this note are soften and smoothed over with the other notes.

Hi Carl! I completely understand. Patchouli can definitely be a challenging note for some. It was for me for the longest time, but I slowly came around to it. Coromandel is a gorgeous one for sure. Thanks for stopping by.

I can’t find that Rose De Taif Extrait. Is It much different from the original? Or just a better, richer version?

Hi! The extrait version is definitely thicker and more dense. Also, there is a massive difference in the performance as well. I’m not sure where you live, but I heard that they have it on fragrancebuy at the moment.

How is Jovoy psychedelic compared to Givenchy Gentleman Original (1974) which is also a patchouli bomb?

All those smells really expensive but oud maracuja. Passionfruit note in perfumery is not been done well. It is very screechy to my nose.
