@@Finesse420 Nothing special, good or bad. We have very few latino people living here, just a little bit under 6000 people, which is less than 0,06 % of the population. Of these, about 1300 are from Mexico and another 1300 from Brazil.

@@Finesse420 As mentioned: Most of the population has no problem with decent and working people from foreign countries. There are strong opinions about "economic migrants" from various "hot zones". Since most of them worsen the security situation, they do not work, they only receive benefits. They associate themselves in so-called "inadaptable groups". Despite this, the Czech Republic is still at the top of the world's countries in terms of security. You can walk at midnight through a park in the middle of the city. Still no problem. There might be a few homeless people, but no skirmishes. BTW: In CZE you can legally defend yourself (even with a firearm if you have a gun permit). I would say we are a very peaceful nation. We accept a foreign culture as long as it is not forced on us by force or interferes with ours. Same with faith. As long as you are a decent law abiding citizen who works. Then nobody cares if you read the bible, the koran or the talmud. Until you start enforcing your beliefs by force. ;) (If there's one thing we don't like, it's being forced into something.) Some people have a problem with fullcover Islamic robes. Not even because it's a symbol of faith. But because we can't see these people's faces. We can't read them. So we are suspicious. Other than that, I'd say we're very peaceful.

I am a woman and was in Prague for the first time a few weeks ago. I thought it would be dangerous there but honestly, I felt much safer there then where I live, which is Rotterdam/the Netherlands

You should see the difference in Canada, the southern USA or South Africa, where there are literally seven hundred times more of them. Huge clouds of them. It''s all relative. And in Canada, as you get further up to the central or northern parts, you get Horseflies. They take out chunks of flesh.

@@1DrBar Horsefly...Hovado in czech (proper name Ovád) ...you can find them in Czechia as well. Maybe they are not so common but are really annoying. I still have mark on my shoulder from visit one of them from 2 weeks ago.

I would like to mention that there is snow during most of the winter season in most places apart from larger towns like Prague. So wintertime is not so gloomy for the majority of the Czech population.

Even though prices went up in Czech, it's still far cheaper than America I've lived in Prague for 3 years, I visit the US and wouldn’t want to go back home, the culture in America is pretty bougie aka a super materialistic country

They had the Tramp culture, that dates back to the 1930s, where the “tramps” wore all green, and were nature loving people who lived in the forests. Nowadays most don’t live in the forests, but it is still alive and well. There is also Tramp Music, a folk music that extols the virtues of nature. I did a lot of hiking around there, near Harachov etc, and it was idyllic

Its a funny thing when I lived there even in the dead of winter I'd just have to take the tram to the castle... walk up the stairs... there was a special warmth I felt just being around so many people. I know people don't much like the tourists, but for me... sometimes its nice seeing so many people enjoying Prague and surrounded by the beauty of it is just something special. I hope to return one day (as soon as my wife agrees), at least to retire. I'd love to live in Prague again but I think there so many great towns all around the country. I'm not going to say any names as its not mentioned as much as Cesky Krumlov or other more popular towns... I gotta keep my secrets and hope no one else makes videos of them! :D

​@@itsdan722 I guess it really depends on your priorities and type of personality, but it can definitely be a nice place to live. I think that in Czechia we have a number of skilled people and our country has potential, but we often lack some final push - but I believe that this can change some day. Nevertheless, I am currently a student (living in Czechia) and I definitely plan to see the world, but I don't plan to ever move abroad. We have beautiful nature, interesting culture, nice people from time to time, and both the overall standard of living and opportunities here are great. So it's really up to you :)

I moved in the Netherlands, and to be honest I miss Czechia in so many ways. In my opinion Czehia is way better than the Netherlands in every regard, cost of living, way of life, HEALTH INSURANCE and so on. Most definitely work culture is better in Czechia.

Good video, but at some point beer and beer culture deserve at least a mention. For decades now we have had the highest consumption of pivo per capita of any country by far, and beer prices remain relatively low with the beer quality high.

I guess, being born somewhere, doesn't make you Czech or American or Italian etc. I'm originaly from Czech Republic and I moved to Greece a 20 years ago. I hate dark, cloudy winters in Czech Republic. I don't drink beer, rather coffee (which is greek national sport to be for hours at coffee shops), I prefer light and healthy greek cusine over our czech heavy cusine. People should not stay at one place for a life. Because often we realise we maybe doesn't belong where we were born. I still love to visit the Czech Republic, but I would not live there anymore.

Hello, it depends on which city are you want to move in. In Athens, there mind be a few locations that are more dangerous, while others not at all. And all that late at evenings and nights. The rest of the Greece is pretty much safe. I don't want to sound like a racist, but Greece 30 years ago was such a safe place to live that had almost zero criminality. People were sleeping with open windows even on ground floors. Unlocked doors and cars. Nobody was stealing. So yes, it's fair to say that all the criminality now, ir the most of it, are done by people who are not Greek. But over all even now, it is still pretty much safe place to live. At daytime you have nothing to worry about. At the evenings and nights, just don't go to bad neighborhoods, if you will live in Athens, and nothing bad will happened to you.

I lived there in early 1994-to late 1996. Travel was great. At that time it was impossible to find housing because westerners were getting gouged. Many Czechs had a hard time finding residencies. The weather is humid and very hot. I was drenched, but it was for a short time. I kept windows open and had a cross breeze. No window screens, but the lace curtains kept any bug out. Winters ARE miserable. I trudged through it and used Doc Martens 1490s, which helped me from slipping on my ass during the frosts. When I was there, Prague denizens were so rude to the extent they were cruel. I initially friended Czechs, but many at the time mocked my Czech. I hope things have changed. They weren’t used to foreigners

Do you know for sure that you were in the Czech Republic? That seems to describe Florida or Southeast Asia more. The Czech Republic has problems with dry air, it is certainly not humid and not very hot either. There are almost no insects in the air here, so why put screens on the windows. And stop making up nonsense that you had problems with people bcs "They weren't used to foreigners".
