You know life’s a blessing when it gives you this much beauty and peaceful times in a pasture full of soul soothing horses. The blue skies over these acres of lush green grazing make the perfect backdrop too. What a wonderful trip. I love seeing how close your family is too. All the best from Ontario!🇨🇦

I love it that all the stallions get to live in the pastures with the mares and foals. That is one of the reasons why they are so healthy . It is pure happiness. All breeding farms should let the stallions live as nature intended them to live. What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing that.

Exactly!!! This stupid riding barn's here are making me so angry!! I have learned the same things, but why can't people start to think for their own:" what is the most natural way of life I can give my horse".Many people here stopped, too with barn's and only have pasture's with maybe a place they can stand under when it is windy and cold, but these E barn's- some will never learn. The horses are standing 23 hour's on 4 m2- this is animal abuse in my opinion. As soon as we Dummie's here saw that there is a way to ride that is better for the horses back, we can ride without a bit,...when Western Riding came to Europe so in the 90 tees, than Pat Parelli and all that Natural Horsemanship stuff, many of us changed and saw that all we have learned is wrong. I still have a bad feeling about the time when I did not know it better and used tie down's on horses and so on, but sadly I cannot change it anymore. This horses ate living the best horse life, you are absolutely right!!!

The reason that I started to subscribe to your Family and other channels is because I was so tired of What is happening in The United States of America. You bring a true meaning to my Life. I am 67 and I am addicted to watching Farm Life and Homesteaders videos. Thank You. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO SHARE YOUR LIFE WITH US.

What a great trip you all had. Choosing any one of the horses' would be the toughest part. Gorgeous and stunning!!! It's amazing how the stallions look so good for their age. Martins have been doing quality Quarter Horses for more than most of us have been alive. 60 some old years I believe. They know their bloodlines in and out, and on in the last ten years have they added a different bloodline because so many people were asking for blacks and roans. Now ten years in on that "new" bloodline, the stock looks equally as good as the original bloodline they started out with. Something for everyone at this ranch, and every type of event you want to do, there is just the right one here waiting for you. I did not get a personal tour as I just drove by, I wasn't looking to buy, but after watching Alan at Martins, I could not resist driving by on my last vacation when I went to Pagosa Springs and then on to see friends in Durango. MORE lovely seen in person!

This quarter horse farm , Martins in Bayfield CO, is something to behold! Living in family groups with the Sires, and Mares with the offspring is as close to the way God intended as anything I have seen. Lush pastures, beautiful weather most of the time, and people who have been breeding these lines for over six decades. I sure hope seeing as both the Martins are up in years, that they have made provisions for these beautifully bred quarter horses. You haven't made mention , Alan, whether they have immediate family that will step in when the time comes but I am sitting here wishing I was a granddaughter of theirs! I would see to it, that all the hard work and careful attention to breeding quality keeps on going. Any thoughts Alan? You have a good start with those that your family has already obtained from Martins.
