Dakota looks great! Rawhide was a perfect gentleman on the ride, I was so proud of him! it is so great that when a person gets a young horse from Farm 66 most of the time you all have several videos of day one and then on to groundwork, groceries, round pen more. That way they can see what the horse has already become used to and that has to be a great way to start off getting the horses trust and making the rest of the journey to finally saddling them up. I think anyone who is selling horses whether they are a product of their own breeding plan or rescues that came in needing everything, is to video video video. I know for myself, I would love to have that video "library" when buying ANY horse and especially if they were previously unhandled or just juveniles.

You guy’s passed by my house, I live in Sylmar which is in the San Fernando valley. By where the 5,405,210 and 14 freeways meet,next to the water reservoir. You guy’s got off on Topanga off the 118 freeway,you guy’s sold another horse to chatsworth also a few year’s ago. I believe it was a grey or blue filly

Born and raised in San Fernando Valley for 55 yrs…it was great, until it wasn’t. Rawhide will do well in Chatsworth, one of the last areas to be old California living. I don’t miss it living in Idaho now, but congrats to Rawhide and the nice couple lending a hand for the next 2 years. 🤗🫣🙏🏻👍🏻

Happy to see these horses so happy. 😁 I moved with my two horses from green Tennessee to Southern California Palm Springs area 4 years ago. It has taken quite an adjustment. I have them at a stable that has pasture areas they get out on daily. But the pasture time is limited. I’d love to see them on pasture for most of the day, but grass comes at a premium here. Though very healthy and muscular, they 30:01 are elderly horses, but seem very happy where they are. I know they’d love more pasture time though.

It's good to see the Los Angeles area's GOOD side---and with the renewal of life from all the rains they got this year. Of course, what this video can't disclose is the astronomical prices to live there. Still, a great adventure and I agree, Bernie and Lisa are very generous folks and they are wonderful horse people. Oh my, I can't get over how nice Bernie and Lisa are, also, Steve as well. Dakota looks amazing. Jet looks a lot better now for sure. They really have a nice setup there in California. The place they went to ride was really so beautiful. I know your son Blake won't worry where his horse is going to be living for the next two years. I'm sure his heart is at ease now. Will Blake be able to ride Rawhide at all while on his Mission? At any rate, he'll know Rawhide is in good hands. Thank you Alan and Vickie for taking us all over your adventures. I still think your Farm is still a good place to be at. Between you and your niece Amry I've enjoyed having a peek at all the new places. I don't drive anymore but when I did I used to just go off on drives to many horse shows, events sales wherever they were at. Whenever I see an open road it brings back memories of all the drives I had as a younger adult. Thank you again to the Farm on Route 66! The best to you and yours as always!

I'm a northern California person east SF Bay we have a fair number of horses and good trails in our hills and parkland used to be lots more when I was young and both my parents liked riding my grandpa was raised in Livermore Valley on a ranch grew hay used horses in those days so he knew how to drive a team of horses was still farmland until 30yrs ago and where you are visiting now was v orchard and natural land when I was a kid. Now most built up unfortunately. I lived where you're visiting cause my husband was from there. Nice area also. Enjoy your visit I've been where you are from I'm too old to live there now but would still love to. Have fun

It’s amazing, we still have so many wildflowers in bloom this late in May. The wild mustard plant( yellow flowers) are so beautiful! Along with the California poppy! Glad you had a great trip to California. I’m glad Rawhide is going to have a good life for the next two years!

Such a beautiful place, I'm sure Rawhide will be just fine, except I know he's going to miss Blake. Isn't the traffic in CA. awful!! I know, I grew up there. But now it's even worse. We went there last weekend so I could spend Mother's Day with my beautiful 89 year old Mom. But coming home was a nightmare, a usual 6 hour drive ended up taking 11hrs 😳 due to the I-10 freeway east being completely shut down due to a police chase, crash, and unfortunately fatalities 😔. Then the I-10 in AZ was down to 1lane due to road work. I've never been so happy to get back home to Chandler AZ 😊, I mean 11 hours is NUTS!! So glad y'all had a safe trip. I can’t believe we didn’t see rawhide chomping on the mustard weeds lol giving his love of eating and " running " lol I also couldn’t believe how little traffic was on the roads. I know we have some major traffic in the high desert where I live, but I sure miss the Arizona "traffic jams" lol 😂😂 California is definitely a different state of mind, and 5 yrs now and I still can’t get use to it. I am a fan of your work, my love horses from Arizona… but I am a commercial driver and when I see you in this video staying in the left lane when you’re pulling a trailer with horses and people are passing you. Here’s the reality that’s an illegal movement in Arizona and in California and nobody appreciates somebody sitting in the left lane with the trailer and everybody has to pass you your place is in the right lane and you can sit there and drive and be comfortable.
