Can you use alcohol instead of slip solution?

I use 70 percent alcohol 😊 but 90 percent is good also

The problem I have with poly videos is that they present it in the end and done correctly and top coat to finish… but to me it looks unfinished the color closer to the cuticle is not an even color… it’s light compared to the tip… what is the point of having it be colored poly gel if you have to nail polish over it? Thank you in advance for your response
