Lookman just won CAF African Player of the year so we are in celebrating mood😀 As you said, most of the negative image of Nigeria comes from the media esp western media but unfortunately, our movie industry contributed to this bad image too ....those early films while we were growing up, were full of subjects like witchcraft, voodoo, money rituals, armed robbery, fraud and all kinds of criminality so that painted a very bad view of Nigeria and her citizens in the eyes of foreigners....worse, most were shot in villages showing dirty and dusty environments. So, to these foreigners Nigeria is like a jungle,, a very undeveloped and dirty place. Reason they are shocked to see beautiful places like Abuja and our other cities and ask why we don't showcase these in our movies. So, our movie producers need to think of the country's image while shooting movies, they should stop shooting in ghettoes all the time and show more of our beautiful cities and natural landscapes. The US, sold itself to the world as a paradise through Hollywood- they hid their bad parts and were mostly showing beautiful places in LA, New York and other cities

Nigeria could be a tourist destination if the government invest more into it's infrastructure and creates more attractive places and security. The government should stop putting their eyes on oil and gas and invest more in agriculture, tourism, Electricity, Subway, construction, manufacturing, and ban imports of foreign cars for 25 years and creates a law of Buy Nigerian cars and any one importing foreign cars should be tax with 70% Tariff to prevent them from wasting nigerian money to foreign countries. Nigeria economy would grow if they follow these things and it would creates millions of Jobs and the currency value will increase. Finally Nigeria doesn't have to sell it's oil and gas to America, Europeans, Chinese, Indians. There's enough buyers in Africa to sell to and make thesame amounts and do more trades within Africans.
@mcdonald18214 күн бұрын

@JoyceAppia-cj1od JoyceAppia-cj10d. It is easy tasks to implement and is not a rocket science. These politicians travel around the world and do witnesses other countries' growth and how they attract tourists and the 24 hours of electricity they have. Take U.S.A as an example. The car manufacturers create millions of jobs, and tourism creates jobs from Miami to Las Vegas to Los Angeles, New York, Niagara Falls, etc these places for example brings a lots of Jobs to the locals due to tourism. Nigeria makes enough from oil and gas that they could use to invest in this. But they steal the money and bank them overseas, and it's hurt the citizens. Such mentality is a mindset of an enemy of the people and foolish.

Nigeria is projected to be the world’s 3rd most populous country after India and China by 2050, making her a major investment magnet in the years ahead. Are u doing this for south african to visit nigeria or competing with mzanzi,if it is by competng than u are in a wrong competion
@mcdonald18213 күн бұрын
A lot of South Africans are already in Nigeria living their best lives without xenophobia and r@cism. Lots more are coming in. Your country on the other hand is already having a bad reputation of hostility towards foreigners.

Weldon Ajim, but the truth of the matter is that Nigeria has a lot more work to do to catch up with Morocco as the benchmark because I don't understand why our government is not bidding for the world cup, Olympics or even the AFCON. Imagine Morocco launching Africa's first high-speed rail of max 320 km/h train at the cost of $2.4billion. That's mad! We need to do better as Nigerians honestly

Naija politicians need to focus on developedments.Competitions can and / or be a waste of time and money and are irrelevant. e.g, Festac 77 and the Greece Olympics 🙄😵💫

We will surpass them. But first we must work hard

@@kayoara6116 Competition drives growth globally. U can bet that the African nation of Morocco must have been inspired by the UAE Dubai, Dolha as a fellow Muslim nation. So tell me why the giant of Africa cannot build a tourism nation that we all can be proud of which will put nations like Ghana and South Africa to shame? National pride is at stake, when u build your country for visitors, ur own people automatically their lives will improve drastically

We Nigerians don’t care if they changed their mind or their view about Nigerian. The point is that we’re not mate, Nigeria helped them to overcome their apartheid problem. Nigeria is SA big brother.
