128, ROFL, I was terrible at the LSAT, the first time I took a diagnostic, I scored a 128, and had zero understanding of the test. I had never looked at any LSAT related material, so went in totally blind and had no clue how to solve any problem, like I didn't know what the assumptions were, or even what a logical flaw was and got stuck and bogged down in all the language I didn't understand. After about 1 month of study I got to 150. And after 3 months 157-160, but it didn't budge much higher than that. I would add, I did this in a class, and what I noticed was, most people who start with poor initial scores, like 120s, don't really surpass 150. Most people who start in the 140s, can go up to 170, and most people who start in the high 130s end in the 160s.

Thé LSAT fee waiver is worth applying for. Those application and report fees add up. It’s saved me a couple hundred dollars.

I had a 3.14 with a 161, got into Hastings with more than half tuition. I got into every top 50-100 school, only denial was USC. I feel like 3.0+ is safe for law school if you pair that with or above a schools median LSAT. As far as more top 50's and closer to top 25 it may be different idk.... I really don't see how people can't get to 160 on this exam if you go through LG and LR bible, LSAT Trainer and pick up a tutor or something like Demon.

My son has taken the LSAT 3 times now and his scores are 136, 137 and 140 as of today. All of these test were taken with the help of an online tutor within the last two years. My question is how realistic is getting a score of 150 for him at this point? I am a carpenter by trade and feel helpless with his siuation. I am also not a hovering parent and busy with my job and not sure about how much time he is putting towards this.
@LSATDemon2 ай бұрын
With targeted practice, he should be able to do BETTER than 150, so a 150 is very realistic with enough work.

I hope you’re correct.

Get a Quickstudy guide on Logic and then some logic introduction book. Logic questions can be low hanging fruit.

a 140 score means he lacks the basic understanding of what the test is even asking from him, he needs to ditch the tutors and consider things like the loophole and rc hero, or if law school is even for him

Can I pay for multiple months of the demon at one time? I’d love to get a live subscription but I’d prefer to pay a few months up front. Is that an option?

Yes! Just email help@lsatdemon.com and we can set that up for you.

So a 2.6 or so GPA is good enough to get into a Master's program? I figured he would not make it through that either. I know it's not as hard as law School, but figured it to be much harder than undergrad.

Ehh, a lot of schools treat master’s programs as their cash cow for funding PhD programs

Unfortunately, if you have an LSAT score on file, most law schools will defer to that score even if a GRE score is also on file.

I’m not surprised you’re ripping on Khan, but I am surprised you are ripping on LSAT Trainer since a lot of people rave about it. I have LSAT Trainer too and didn’t like it, only really made progress with a tutor. Can you give your opinions on Manhattan, Powerscore, Blueprint, and other programs too?
@LSATDemon2 жыл бұрын
We don't love most other programs because they often focus too much on learning LSAT theory and on memorizing terms. That theory and memorization not only doesn't help, but often hurts. We prefer to show people why the LSAT makes sense by having them practice and review actual LSAT questions. You learn how to ride a bike by riding a bike, not by reading bike theory. The LSAT is similar. So we'd recommend trying LSAT Demon. You can see what we're talking about with a free account, which will give you access to hundreds of questions and explanations.
@evachafeh96582 жыл бұрын
LSAT Demon is spot on. I used Blueprint and literally learned about LSAT theory. NOT how to understand the questions better sentence by sentence. That was my struggle. Now, I kind of have to start at square one and unlearn (most of) what I learned from Blueprint. I'm enjoying Demon and now see my actual understanding of questions increasing. Good luck.

Powerscore is trash from 3 of my friends, Manhattan is not worth the money, and personally this company is the best one. Im a low income first gen college student busting my butt so this my just my opinion
