Dones can only be seen. With fireworks, not only can you see them, but you can hear them, feel the boom in your chest and smell the smoke. It's a more immersive experience.

I can understand why some people don't like fireworks. Verterans who suffer from PTSD, people who have Autism and can't stand loud noises, also it scares pets and wildlife. I don't mind the drones; I love the creativity. But It's only once a year. Wearing a pair of noise suppressers doesn't hurt.
