I was referring to solitude by its meaning in English [even though English isn't my native language as well], which, despite its effects can be positive of negative, depending on the situation, "a distinction has been made between solitude and loneliness. In this sense, these two words refer, respectively, to the joy and the pain of being alone." The above distinction is from Wikipedia, but I referred to it as being alone and in peace, content, satisfied...not necessarily feeling lonely and depressed.

I am a pretty lonely electronic engeneering student from Germany. I never had many friends in the past and the ones I did I knew from the streets and we would smoke joints together. I quit and moved to another country to fall into a deep depression, after which I cut ties to my smoking friends in Germany. After moving back to my homecountry im back studying in my little dorm room at 3 am in the morning because i still have a lab report due to yesterday (my prof is chill tho) and i have to prepare a whole new lab in semiconductor-circuit-technology ("Halbleiterschaltungtechnik" in German) which i still have to learn the material for. I find peace in this kind of ambient music. It connects me to a very, very calm part in myself which i dont find often. I am consantly watching youtube, searching for that dopamine kick. I have difficulties socializing, mild social anxiety fits it better. Since i came back i had no real friend to talk to, only my family and beloved girlfriend (long distance). This music makes me hope for better, more colorful times. Thanks

Me right now. Every day is a challenge but I rise to meet it. I only have 1 friend left (from my school days) and they live a thousand miles away so we communicate via phone calls. I'm grateful but also cognizant of the fact that all of my battles must be fought and won alone. I used to despair at this, now I feel as weightless as I would in deep space because I know everything I've overcome has been through my own discipline and force of will.
