Instead of believing that each member has its own superpower, I would rather believe that the SuperM combines the universe of the three groups. It contains elements from different universe-super power from exo (Light for Beakhyun and teleportation for Kai, you can see them in MAMA mv and other MVs ), and the dream and empathy concept in NCT(This is the concept of NCT that goes through every single video they made, and it is best explained in their 2018 album trailor-NCT mentary). I'm not sure abt Shinee's universe because back when Shinee started, SM hasn't developed such thing as group universe and philosophy. I think the trailer might be influenced by the concept of id, ego, and super-ego by Sigmund Freud, Taemin is in the third world-(the super-ego ) to summon others into his world. It can be seen as the awaken of the true self, the alteration of personality, or the eruption of inspiration. So in individual trailers other than Taemin's, you can see them going through awaken and changes. In Taeyong's trailer, the main personality(wearing hoodie) watched a movie of two of himself killing each other. When the main personality outside in the cinema looked back. the other self(wearing blazer) in the movie put up his gun. In the end, the main personality was killed, 20 Taeyong(wearing blazer) become the audience. In Ten's trailer, as Ben has noticed, the difference of perversion of inside and outside of the painting seems to signify his two personalities. Lucas and Mark's trailer also shows similar things. Lucas regular and wild side- wearing suit vs wearing Leopard patterned coat and a pink shirt. And Mark wearing white opened the box and freed the black Mark. Beakhyun's trailer seems a bit different. Instead of having different personalities or different selves, he is more on the awaken side. Did he wake up to see the reality? I'm not sure. Kai is keep traveling between dream and reality in the trailer. More like Baekhyun, he keeps waking up to see where he is. In Taemin's trailer, the scene seems to be a flashback, like a scene when he is floating on the table. And it seems like it is in a cycle. He seems to be gathering members from id and ego to his world of super ego to complete sth. (maybe symbolizing an inspiration?). And after that, they depart and go back to the cycle and wait for the next reunion. The concept of Awaken, cycle(end to start, the origin will begin), empathy and dream in a dream is so common in SM videos especially NCT's. So I guess this is what they are currently fascinated about and it is definitely shown in these trailers.

The cycles are may be the evolution to this state where we can see each other united in The One, The Boss... etc. We all are different versions of Him :) This music industry (culture technology) is definitely from the future, it's ASTONISHING!!! About Taemin, somebody suggested he represents his solo concept which deals with the sins but I need more time to explore the theme because don't know so much about Taemin and his solo concept. But I saw serpents in some video like in EXO's Monster we also have and in NCT The Origin... The appearance of the Serpent is very common in SM's video's indeed - it's really like temptation in orthodox sense but there is more as well, because at the end of the day the Serpent made the humankind to eat from the Tree of Knowledge and than is said - they (Adam and Eve) became like US (so like gods!!!) to know what's good and what's bad... And in Eastern teachings Serpent-Fire is representative of the Divine spirit in us - named Kundalini (kindalini yoga and so on)... So we are here in this The Matrix reality to evolve, to bring out the Breath of God in life - like in Kai's Deep Breath dance :)) The best thing though is that they do everything multilayered so we can chose what to think or believe

Like we can definitely see The Matrix in Lucas's trailer and their concept photos. We can also see Blade Runner in Taeyong's. And I heard someone said that the piling eggs in Mark's trailer is related to the egg-shaped machine in Black Mirror's Christmas Special Episode. Also, the sense8 concept in the whole NCT world. What's always intriguing about sm videos is this- to see how things are related and we can find details to support our different theories.

@@clementinec8961 What I truly love about their activity is... Back to the Reality statement - when we go deep into the Dream and from this stage we can influence for real the Regular Reality... That's exactly what SM and Hallyu does at the end of the day - for good :)) And what I meant about the multilayered content is not just about theories but levels of the meaning... It can sound like love song on daily level and is enough to appreciate on this level their art, but... is so much more sophisticated to have also political associations and above all - existentional topics :)) For example when I first watched 7th Sense, I was attracted to the music and the feeling that there is some mystical aspect in this... but than read a comment about Orwell's 1984 and the revolutionary shades in the music, colors, even in the choreo with barricades and all... It was unbelievably intriguing - how can they put all together so many relevant meanings!!! Than came Without You (which is still my most fav together with Limitless) where I saw first political ideas but didn't noticed the dreams and the connection with The 7th Sense. It was NCT's commentary studio that "opened my eyes" to this aspect and it was decided, I became also NCTzen in addition to Aerie :)))

I think Baekhyun and Kai have their powers from EXO, which is light and teleportation, respectively. You see these motifs in their trailers (Baekhyun had light around him and Kai deadass teleported), and I'm happy SM kept this with them. I expected this when I found out the concept was superpowers. I think Taeyong can duplicate himself like Ben said, kind of like Naruto's Shadow Clone Jutsu. It was kind of blatant. I think Lucas can manipulate the speed of time and time in general, or he has super speed. A lot of his trailer had to do with things being sped up or slowed down. The dings of elevator can also show that someone has arrived, so he can be arriving at a certain point in time. I think Ten can hop through dimensions/realities since he could go through the painting, or maybe he can observe different realities. I'm not sure with Mark. It was really hard to tell, but I think it might be something to do with a mind-related power (telekinesis or telepathy). Taemin was also hard to decipher. I think he might have some omniscient power (from being in all trailers), or super strength (from holding himself up with one arm). Please discuss what you think with me! I would love to hear your ideas!

Like Regular have English version showing the chase of the material success (the shine outside) and the Korean one points the meaningful dream-goal - to bring out our true self and trough hard work to shine from inside more then anything material :))

Let's speculate for fun: Baekhyun's power is light and Kai's is teleportation, as usual. Taemin's is reinvention. NCT plays a lot with duplicity/doubleness: Mark has a yin/yang persona, and Taeyong can clone himself (fortunately for all his fans). For WayV, it's what can't be seen: Ten can find hidden dimensions, and Lucas can detect frequencies (which is why Taemin has those glasses and the amplifier).

Okay so exos concept is that they all have superpowers, baekhyuns is light, kais is teleportarion Obviosuly it would make fans (exols) upset to give nct and taemin powers cause ppls are already upset about superm taking away from their prospective groups. But they align with their group concepts i think. In kais he teleports before the car crushes him, in baeks, theres light everywhere. Taemin has me a little confused bc idk if its supposed to follow shinee concepts or taemin concepts or both??? But so far hes the one controlling everyone else. I think it has something to do with another universe or something so maybe back to exos two worlds?(m and k) In the world with cars burning and falling kai is wearing a shirt and in the world where nothing is breaking hes shirtless Mark starts off wearing white and carying the box and the room is fully lit. When he opesn the box to peek inside we see the reflection of mark wearing all black and thw lights go out For ten, you pointed out the black canvas but flowers on the floor and when he gets pulled in by a diff ten, its the opposite, clean floors but the painting has flowers. In lucas trailer, he starts off wearing a regular black suit and idk his kind of confuses me bc of mirrors but he suddenly is wearing leopard print with bright hot pink underneath looking like a swagdaddy. Many of the theories I have seen are saying that Taemin is either controlling the other guys (or controlling the stuff happening around them), or is gathering them to form SuperM. It was speculated for a while that Taemin would be the leader, and that's why he was gathering the members, but it seems like Baekhyun has taken on the role of leader instead, so that theory kinda fell apart. But it does seem like Taemin is the center of the group, so that might explain stuff.

I have so many theories about SuperM, I don't even know where to start. Basically, one of the theories I've heard is that it's based on 7 Deadly Sins. So basically, from what I can tell, all the members have a good and a bad side. Starting off with Baekhyun. So the Baekhyun in the video has pink hair and he looks like a good character. (also there's a theory that Baekhyun has lost his memory and has been kidnapped. So he suddenly wakes up and he's being monitored, he's looking around because he doesn't recognize the place. The little robot there is actually filming him as you can see the camera on the robot. after that Baekhyun is being scanned and you can see, that he's not in his right mind, he's emotionless, just standing there. So the theory leads to Baekhyun being kidnapped and Kai has to bring him back to EXO.) On the other, Baekhyun in the photoshoot pics has silver har and way darker concept. Looks a little more evil. We could assume he represents the sin of *sloth* (laziness). Since we started the whole Kai thing, let's move on to him next. Kai is dancing in the video and there's a sign, which is orange. Orange colour represents the sin of *gluttony* (greed). Why would he represent greed? I'm not sure myself. Later in Kai's teaser, there's a light flicking so since Baekhyun's power is light we could also assume Baekhyun was trying to reach out with Kai but it doesn't make sense if he has lost his memory. Later I think Taemin tries to interrupt. Since Taemin controls everything he made the cars fall from the sky and to kind of warn him. Of course, Kai's power is teleportation, so he just teleports out of there. As we are done with EXO members and the concept of them trying to reach out with one another, try to return to EXO, let's move on to NCT. So as I have noticed, all of the NCT members have duplication of some kind in their teasers. Let's start off with Taeyong. So the good Taeyong comes to the cinema but the teaser ends with the evil Taeyong(s). In the teaser he comes to the cinema to watch a movie I guess. The thing is that the movie is of course controlled by Taemin as we see him with the tapes playing. In the movie we see Taeyong standing there and then there's another kind of trippy evil Taeyong, who is aiming to shoot the good one. In the end, Taeyong claps but he does not seem amused at all. Maybe he's jealous of something, which leads us to the third sin - *envy*. Green colour represents jealousy and we can see a lot of green in Taeyong's teaser. Ten. So Ten is in front of a painting, which is covered at first. The cover is bright blue, which represents the next sin - *lust*. Again we can see duplication. Ten stands in front of the painting and his hands come out of it and grab him. So he goes to "the other side" and now he's in some kind of room, he looks evil now. Next up is Lucas. His sin would have to be *greed*. The imagery is that businessmen are usually very greedy. Again, he enters a room full of mirrors and there's a lot of reflections of himself. As well as that, at the beginning of the video, there were a lot of Lucases walking out of the elevator. And Lucas is constantly looking around. As if he found a camera. Found out, that he has been monitored. Then when he enters the mirrored room we can see him change into the "bad" Lucas. Lastly, Mark. So with Mark, we can clearly see the imagery of good and bad. When he stands on that mirrored platform, he is being lighted from both sides, when suddenly one light turns off. That makes us see the good side, which is the lighted side, and the bad side, which is of course dark. Mark's sin could be *wrath* (anger). Anger is symbolized with the colour red and we can sure see a lot of red in his teaser. Also, his rap sounds like he is expressing his anger. You can also express your anger by throwing things and we can see messed up chairs when Taemin appears. The final one, the one who's behind all of this, our Taemin. So he symbolizes *vanity/pride*. In the teaser, we can see a scene where Taemin is climbing upstairs and there are other six of his bodies and they all look defeated. So the evil Taemin defeated all the good ones? Or does six defeated bodies represent the six other members, that he has "enslaved"? And that is not the end, my loves. There is a looot of imagery in every teaser. You can find something that really resembles Taemin's earlier MV's in all the teasers. First of all, in his video "Want" he dances in front of "The Gates of Hell", which brings us to all thing about the 7 sins. And also in Taemin's recent song "Famous" he introduces us to the sin of pride. In Taeyongs teaser he stands in the middle and behind him, we can see the symbol of the sun. That reminded me Taemin's "Want" when he had Solar Eclipse behind him. Also, the gun thing. Taemin also had a gun in his MV. Taemin's video also had the "painting" imagery, which we can see in Ten's teaser. And also the hand's coming out of it. Lucas and his evil side gives me Taemin's WAnt MV vibes, resemblance. For Mark, the act of "ripping the box", looking through it. And in Taemin's famous he was ripping a lot of things. Also, the broken mirror is featured in both vids. As for Kai, cars is the main resemblance I have found. One more thing is that all the teaser have a lot of red colour and whenever Taemin shows up in their teaser, he has some kind of green. All the time. Except for Kai's teaser, when he was blue there. That definitely means something, I just don't know what. This is all just a theory, so plz don't be rude:)) I hope you can understand what I'm saying since English is not my first language.

Thanks for reacting Ben and yes, that was Taemin on the steps in the first trailer you watched and Taemin is in all the trailers. We are all still trying to sort it out, many theories but in regards to Taemin, theory is that the reason he is in all of theirs trailers is because they are hinting that Taemin is either going to be the centre of the group or the leader, concept wise, thinking puppet master or something. One theory i saw said that the Exo memebrs were aliens, the NCT guys were android and Taemin was the god or overlords of them all lol Your reaction to them all had me laughing so much but as its 3.30am where i am and my toddler is sleeping, i had to muffle it and did a half cough/ snort laugh thing🤣 And your comment about Taemin- "He's been in every trailer, it's gotta mean something" it does mean something, he's god and out there to get us all pregnant with his superpowers 😂 I'm highly anticipating and can't wait for the debut when it drops, I'm so looking forward to them destroying me lol.

I believe they all have powers. Kai can teleport, Taemin has super strength, Taeyong can multiply and so on. Not everyone’s power is super clear in their teasers im assuming for a sense of mystery but it will probably be later on. They’re collabing with marvel to help with their story lines which is cool.

I feel like the concept of the trailers is a mix of Exo’s concept (superpowers) and NCT’s ( reality and dreams), like the fact that Taemin is watching and somehow interferes matches with NCT’s dream in a dream and traveling between fantasy and reality and everyone seems to have a power or special ability like Exo...
