Everytime I see Frank Watkinson here on yt reminds me of my Granpa who plays guitar just like him, that we lost to a Cancer 4 months ago. And I learned guitar to play for my grandma who is very hurt to lost the love of her life. I'm now able to play one song granpa plays and my grandma likes it so much. My pop pop passed away december 15th 2021. I still remember it exactly. I was sitting at the table, exact chair my brother likes to sit in now, with my iPad on and my blue headphones in. My mom gets a call, and she just starts crying. I get up, and ask immediately “is he leaving soon?..” I knew it was bound to happen soon, as he had multiple cancers but my siblings were little, they didn’t really understand. And I didn’t want them to worry. My older brother, was off on his mission, so I was second oldest as his twin, is disabled. And my oldest brother is out of the house and married. I remember my dad and nana going to visit him every day, and they switched off. The only time I said goodbye was over call, as all my siblings did. My dad left for the hospital, and said he’d be back when pop pop passed. Next morning, I wake up, and he’s in the kitchen. I ask, “why are you back..” and he goes, “he passed Dee.” Only video I have is him playing the ukulele with my dad. He used to do ukulelesundays with my dad, and now me and my dad do it, and I do it separately in honor of him. This reminded me exactly of it, thank you.
