Young lady, I am a guitar player and singer myself, though not nearly as good as I wished I were, and I have to tell you I have heard Suzy Bogguss, Judy Collins, Skeeter Davis, Jewel, Ian and Sylvia Tyson, and the late great Chris LeDoux all sing this song and I say without reservation that your version is the very best of all of them (and they are all GREAT!) Your delivery is by far the most believable, and every note resonates with the emotion it is intended to evoke. Truly incredible delivery of a great song!!!

I'm seeing you , and more importantly hearing you, for the first time today. I have sang and played music on the east coast since the 1960's. I got to sing and play with the band Angle Oak , featuring country music Hall of Fame , Harold Fogle. We cut the album 'Making Plans' in Columbus Ohio in 1975, in the same studio Pure Prairie League used to cut their album that featured Ammie . One of our songs was featured in the movie Summer 03, causing our album to be re-released. I wrote all that because I love music and I love to hear good singers and musicians. You two are gifted and I know that you know that. You can walk onto a stage anywhere, and the audience will love you !
